If you want more active producer groups, try Hardtraxx producer's corner or even on FB (Code Black producer group).
Heyyoo, don't let other people define what you wanna do with your life/hobby/music, we've all been there. I have to agree with connections is important, getting your stuff heard and shit. Hell, I don't even have any "fanbase" I just do my shit because, I'm doing it more as a hobby and the love for the music. I prob never gonna be "famous" or make good cash on my shit, but its not even my end goal anyway. There are some lit discords out there, just have to look around. Also just keep doing music, if you like it, its awesome! Keep doing what you like! If you feel that you dont evolve enough, just pm anyone you know a bit, hell, pm me with stuff if you wanna. The reason why lots of forums are going down and shit is because discord is taking over and stuff. Same here. I used to be around forums all the time (GHF brings back memories...), but my goals have always been different too. I'm not in this for a career or fame, but i do have a passion and love for Hardstyle music over any other genre. I don't usually tell people this but in my personal case; if i can ever create a track that would be played by Bas Oskam or Michel Pollen and they're like 'nice track dude' then that would pretty much be my endgame.
