It sounds like that theres a slight cutoff over it imo... really doesn't have such a big reso, atleast no fizzling.
But both tries sound quite close to me though. Recons may be a bit too detuned (instead of detuning it maybe try an pitch lfo? I mean the original doesn't sound nasty but just slightly offtone sometimes..) and has a bit too much reso and blueminds just has the fizzling in the upper highs which I think are too much.
But you guys are close. Lovin the lead :p

1/4 lfo on pitch could get this vintage effect i think, just need to be tweaked right ^^

Sorry I just saw this now.

For me, these kinds of sounds come from the way vintage synths were played and programmed.

I used fxpansion's Cypher because of the filter as it emulates the famous Moog ladder filter giving those saws a fat creamy sound. Play with the envelopes and LFO's on the filters to get a more expressive feeling. Add to this some light LFO on the pitch that increases during note length and you're getting there.

I feel that the fxpansion synths are probably the most analog sounding out there but the CPU usage is immense. If I want a thin "EDM" sound or something quick like a riser, I go to massive and more recently spire. If I want a big trancy/hardstyle sound that will fit in my song without much eq'ing I use my virus power core/TI. If I want a sound that is fat and creamy and will turn my guts into goo and set my CPU on fire, I use the fxpansion stuff.

I also had a series of filters (the drop using the cascade filters) on the master bus as well as a plugin that affected the pitch of everything. I wanted to create the effect of watching an old VHS from a parallel dimension with unstable playback, even though the final sound scape is more like a 80386 booting up from an external CD drive.

Inspiration came from Vangelis's Blade Runner sound track along with the works of Jean Michel Jarre and Wendy Carlos.

Everything in combination comes together to create this vintage synth soundscape.
