Well, FL Studio is fine for producing until you use hardware... Then Cubase wins. To sound less amateur, not FL'ish, then you need to improve your mixdown. Compare your sounds with pro tracks and apply EQ to it until it sounds good. Also, the sound design is very important, so feel free to experiment with synthesizers until you will understand how they actually work. :+ Most of people thought I changed DAW when I improved in mixdown... :D

Are you serious? o_O I think that this topic is so useless.. Your music can't sound ''FL Studio'ish'' or ''Cubase'ish''..

In my opinion it is very lame to categorize or blame music just because it's made on FL Studio.
If youre beginner music producer, I can bet million euros that your music would sound shit, no matter do you use make your music on some worlds best and bigest studio with Logic Pro or just FL Studio without any hardware.

People just usually starts producing with FL Studio so most of the amateur tracks are made with it.. That is not reason to say that the DAW is bad.

In the end, music producer does it all, not the software or hardware! ;D
