Any guesses for the shadow priests?

Maybe someone like D-Sturb or Gunz For Hire could be it. Looking at "newer" artists to give them some spotlight I would love to see some Voidax or Deluzion (L)
Or even Code Black? Bass Modulators live alias?

hi guys, it's been a while since my last visit on this forum, happy to see that everything is active!

i put qlimax a bit away from me after many years and for covid, i would skip also this edition and discover other parties, but i really really like the lineup and his balance, at least they want to preserve the uniqueness of this event and not let them a supremacy 2.0 event

my thoughts on shadow priestS are of course headhunterz and wildstylez togheter, don't know if starting with heady 30 minutes and then project one 30min showcase some tracks. for sure qdance will let him play there and let him speak blabla as they've done with the prophet.
also 2023 is 20 years after willem's first qlimax experience as a visitor and then his legacy started at gelredome.

the other option is bfrontliner, i didn't find frontliner's booking for that weekend (i remember when in the past we were all searching for bookings at qlmx weekend to discover lineups  )
bfront is there, b-frontliner album is out after the long awaited 10 years, also frontliner played at DQ1 mainstage and he is again in full qdance radar and platinum agency.

this is my realistic thoughts for the timetable

deepack 21:30/22:15
blademasterz 22:15/23:00
showtek 23:00/23:45
tnt 23:45/00:30
hard driver 00:30/1:15
devin wild 1:15/2:15
Pn&Bfront 2:15/3:15(half Bfrontliner)
shadow priest 3:15/4:15(half heady half project1 or 30min heady&wild + 30min bfrontliner)
vertile 4:15/5:15
warface 5:15/6:15
deadly guns 6:15/7:00
QLMX 11',12',13',14',16',18',19' | HARDBASS 12',16' | QBASE 13' | XQLUSIVE LEGENDS 14' | DEDIQATED 19' | ASOT1000 23' | DQ1 23'

Shadow priests will be 30 mins and I think it'll be Aversion, Adjuzt and Cryex - all the big names that will get a go at Qlimax in 2024.

If Adjuzt (maybe together with The Purge) won’t be part of the Shadow Priests, Q-dance doesn’t live in 2023. If anyone deserves it, it’s him. Aversion & Cryex are also good candidates indeed.

Never heard a single track from Adjuzt, The Purge or Aversion, and I listen to hardstyle quite a lot. Damn, I guess I don't follow the trends anymore :D If those are Xtra raw etc. then that makes sense since I avoid that type of hardstyle.

Adjuzt & TP are absolutely not xtra raw :P The Purge was, but then we’re talking about 5+ years ago, pretty raw, but nowadays it’s more of a Rooler type ‘party raw’. Adjuzt is capable of making awesome melodies. Listen to Echoes, Summer Secrets, Savage Era etc. Good melodies, funky kicks, pretty much ‘pure/middleground hardstyle’ (yes it has the raw ‘klaplong kicks’), but the melodies, vocals and overall atmosphere make it pretty accessible. I haven’t been touched by euphoric melodies in ages.. till he came with tracks like Echoes / Summer Secrets. Adjuzt is EVERYWHERE this year. Dude is making waves and Q can’t miss that.

Aversion might be considered more raw than Adjuzt or TP, but even he incorporates a lot of melodies in his tracks too.

adjustz cryex and aversion are now well known but in terms of reachs, audience etc are far from making a hidden act at qlimax imo, its more like they are in the launchpad for qdance.
the qreator meh, i think it has to do a stop after 3 years, also ran-d. sound rush has new music and collabs with atmozfears so, who knows

and if we have someone who have to bring new music to the world showing and promoting hardstyle to other audience is still headhunterz before quit performing. besides the obvious, we still have less "rawish" sets, i consider vertile warface and a bit of hard driver, dont know if we could have another rawish priest

my bet still on 2 acts as surprise, and i hope really for bfrontliner and p1.

This lineup is very interesting to me. It's not really what i was hoping for at all, but i'm excited still. And it's very different than usual. It seems that we'll be getting like 3 hours of oldschool, 3 hours of hardstyle more in between euphoric and raw, or at least not straight raw/xtra raw, and then 3 hours of raw/xtra raw. There's not euphoric hardstyle like there was in the past with Sound Rush and D-Block & S-Te-Fan for example. Personally, I always felt a bit disconnected listening to that during Qlimax despite really liking the sets still. So I think this years edition will definitely have a different feeling.

GianaWana Both Adjuzt & Aversion have more monthly listeners than Devin Wild (for example). I don’t think Devin Wild has more reach and a bigger fanbase than Adjuzt & Aversion, it’s the other way around, times change. Nothing against DW; imo he’s one of the best producers we have.

‘deserving’ comes down to a lot more than how many years an artist has been in the scene in my eyes. It sounds like everyone that thinks 5+ years of releasing is ‘too short to be a Qlimax candidate’ tends to forget that Headhunterz did the anthem for Qlimax within his 2nd/3rd year of producing. Popularity should be more important than legacy, I mean by that logic Q could fill Qlimax 2024 with inactive names like Luna, Dana, Daniele Mondello just because of their veteran status. Nobody will go.

For that same reason, I think there were way better candidates for the anthem than Hard Driver. It feels like he was chosen just because of his career and veteran status.
