[18/11/2023] Qlimax: Enter The Void [NL]
Shadow priests will be 30 mins and I think it'll be Aversion, Adjuzt and Cryex - all the big names that will get a go at Qlimax in 2024.

Never heard a single track from Adjuzt, The Purge or Aversion, and I listen to hardstyle quite a lot. Damn, I guess I don't follow the trends anymoreEmre wrote: 30 Aug 2023, 19:10 If Adjuzt (maybe together with The Purge) won’t be part of the Shadow Priests, Q-dance doesn’t live in 2023. If anyone deserves it, it’s him. Aversion & Cryex are also good candidates indeed.

DEFQON.1 2018 - Now i'm finally a WEEKEND WARRIOR
Adjuzt & TP are absolutely not xtra rawcccc5 wrote: 30 Aug 2023, 20:20Never heard a single track from Adjuzt, The Purge or Aversion, and I listen to hardstyle quite a lot. Aversion might be considered more raw than Adjuzt or TP, but even he incorporates a lot of melodies in his tracks too.
adjustz cryex and aversion are now well known but in terms of reachs, audience etc are far from making a hidden act at qlimax imo, its more like they are in the launchpad for qdance.
the qreator meh, i think it has to do a stop after 3 years, also ran-d. sound rush has new music and collabs with atmozfears so, who knows
and if we have someone who have to bring new music to the world showing and promoting hardstyle to other audience is still headhunterz before quit performing. besides the obvious, we still have less "rawish" sets, i consider vertile warface and a bit of hard driver, dont know if we could have another rawish priest
my bet still on 2 acts as surprise, and i hope really for bfrontliner and p1.

QLMX 11',12',13',14',16',18',19',23' | HARDBASS 12',16' | QBASE 13' | XQLUSIVE LEGENDS 14' | DEDIQATED 20' | ASOT1000 23' | DQ1 23'

This lineup is very interesting to me. It's not really what i was hoping for at all, but i'm excited still. And it's very different than usual. It seems that we'll be getting like 3 hours of oldschool, 3 hours of hardstyle more in between euphoric and raw, or at least not straight raw/xtra raw, and then 3 hours of raw/xtra raw. There's not euphoric hardstyle like there was in the past with Sound Rush and D-Block & S-Te-Fan for example. Personally, I always felt a bit disconnected listening to that during Qlimax despite really liking the sets still. So I think this years edition will definitely have a different feeling.
GianaWana Both Adjuzt & Aversion have more monthly listeners than Devin Wild (for example). I don’t think Devin Wild has more reach and a bigger fanbase than Adjuzt & Aversion, it’s the other way around, times change. Nothing against DW; imo he’s one of the best producers we have.
‘deserving’ comes down to a lot more than how many years an artist has been in the scene in my eyes. It sounds like everyone that thinks 5+ years of releasing is ‘too short to be a Qlimax candidate’ tends to forget that Headhunterz did the anthem for Qlimax within his 2nd/3rd year of producing. Popularity should be more important than legacy, I mean by that logic Q could fill Qlimax 2024 with inactive names like Luna, Dana, Daniele Mondello just because of their veteran status. Nobody will go.
For that same reason, I think there were way better candidates for the anthem than Hard Driver. It feels like he was chosen just because of his career and veteran status.
