Hardstyle production beginner

Hi, looking for some advice. I know you all heard it a thousand times but looking for something fresh. Bottom line is. I want to produce hardstyle and good hardstyle at that. How can I start? My biggest problem is choosing software atm. I think most use FL Studio. And from what I gather it really doesn't matter what software. I want some advice that will put me way ahead of the game. Lessons that you have learned from producing hardstyle and maybe something that can make your track stand out from some of the crud that's probably put there. Thanks

FL studio isn't the worst but has some things which could be better in terms of workflow. I used it for years, but nowadays; I use reaper and would highly recommend this daw. If you decide to go with another daw other than FL, you should still try to get some of the imageline vst's such as sytrus, edison and maximus

I'd recommend using FL since the mejority of tutorials on youtube feature FL. Its just easier for you in the beginning.
Keep searching youtube or maybe the tutorial section here to learn things, listen to a lot of tracks made by big producers to develop some kind of awareness of how tracks work. The problem here is that theres no "magic key" to hardstyle.. theres no "do that and your track is a banger". Thats not how this works. A shit ton of stuff is important for your track to be a banger and you'll discover your way of doing that over time by yourself. Later maybe my kind of tutorials will help:
