Listening to Hardstyle...

Post by StereoMind »

The Question is or more like i want to know your oppinion about that, do you think it's good for the creativity to listen to hardstyle day by day ? ... i dont think its too bad but it cant be too good to ... i thought about this on my way home this day, while i was actually listening to hardstyle and my thought was : when i listen day by day ideas by everyone else and all this sounds MAYBE sure i get inspirated by this but could it also like "fill" the space for own ideas in my head ... dont know, say what you think ?

So as I understand what your asking is if we get inspiration from only listening to hardstyle? If this correct, my answer would be no, becouse it's to generic (I can't find the english word for this, can anyone help me?) tracks are very similar to each other.

well I think it's a good thing (IF YOU ARE IN THE MOOD)

now the reason why I think it's a good thing is because you can hear what other people are doing, how they went about the idea, and your brain gathers information, and also you get to hear what has been done already, so you know that what you make will then be original or not.

I think it's also important not too listen too much but to listen to many other genres of music, doing that would refresh your mind, allow yourself to relax with music

Many artists out there are inspiring, NC are inspiring (in my opinion). Just make sure that when you're making something, that you're not copying and that it's your own thing. If it sounds too much like an idea already done before, just stop with that idea.

no im not asking if you get inspiration if you only listen to hardstyle ( that would be a pretty dump question from me cuz i dont only listen to hardstyle and get even inspirated by FOLK music ^^ )

i Ask if you think : Is it good for your creativity to listen MOST of your time to hardstyle ?

I think it has no worries to listen to other hardstyle tracks on every day, indeed 24/7.
It's only important to don't let it be taking effects on your own creativity. And if it effects on your creativity, you should be able to answer it by yourself....

All in all, let your everyday-listening to hardstyle easily inspire you. And only yourself can answer your question. (but that's only my two cents...)
Maybe my written english will not always be correct .....
... but u will always understand the meaning behind it ! ;)

but be mindful, if you listen 24/7, you could become really irritated/tired from it (and might not notice) and bored

I had this one day, I played some trance then and it felt like a relief.
