Imagine building a guitar and then tuning it and then playing it. That's what electronic music is.

To be 100% honest, it was him and Deadmau5 that really got me into EDM. I dont really like his stuff anymore though and especially the newer stuff I really don't like. I think he uses the same screamy synthy sounds waaaaaay too much. I do prefer more chill styles of dubstep/electro. :)

I used to like Skrillex (still do kinda), but I've gotten sick of him for every highschooler I know only blasts Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites out of their shitty phone speakers :meh:

yup, he turned that otherwise really deep and underground genre to mainstream. before Skrillex that typical WUBWUBZWEEEESH-PWAOOOOW-TRRRRRRZWAAAAAAAAAAH sound didn't even exist, that's what dubstep was like just 4 years ago:

gosh, that Pinch track still makes me trip major balls even after 4 years... even without weed...
i mean, yeah, this kind of dubstep still exists now, but it's really obscure and underground, every schoolkid nowadays thinks that all dubstep just sounds like skrillex, or nero, or basically like brostep (yup, they've coined a term for that specific sound).

_O_ _O_ The sub on that track is fucking killer, dude. I can't imagine simply dancing to this. You let the bass control your movements and go fucking crazy :fist: I love this type of dubstep, even the much older 2-step Garage style and UK Funky. We can thank Kode9 for that, and Skrillex for Metal meets Electronic. Not that Brostep in all is bad, but it's amazing when done right. I'd go as far as saying has some Brostep elements that overpower the simplicity but brutalness of the track.

i was never really into dubstep, but when i did listen to it, the tracks i liked the most were all like that trippy, strange chillout type of dubstep. check these:

the bass here is just _O_ search for an HQ version, this shitty youtube quality is nothing like the HQ

^ ahhh, good old dubstep without retarded kids wearing huge fake glasses, wearing neon clothes and willing to fuck their sisters with dad's wedding rings while listening to this crap ... I miss you. I hate Skrillex for what he did to dubstep.
