FL studio routing

Post by Jouls »

Ok so I finally had time to watch headhunterz livestream.

He routed his track to 3 different channels and used it as a multiband eq.
I've seen YHimself or Brileadex (I think) do this in FL Studio in one of their tutorials but I've spent the last hour looking them up and can't find how to do it.

I know how to round e.g. send from channel 1 after fx to channel 2 and so on.

But I want to know can I send the sound to three different channels at the same time ?

Imagine building a guitar and then tuning it and then playing it. That's what electronic music is.

Care to explain how ?

P.S. I don't mean rout my 909 to channel 1. I mean rout my 909 to channel 1, 2 and 3 at the same time, without them going from 1 to 2 to 3.

Maybe this way will be easier : 1 input, 3 outputs each at different mixer channel.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you mean you want a sound to be able to be on 3 different channels on the same time. Well in this case, you would send the sound to a channel that you can call your "output" channel. Then, take the "output" channel and send it to 3 fx channels after it in seperate spots.
Here's a picture Example (if hard to read, ask me for clarification :) )

ehm i think thats not possible than.
There is the VSt Mixer Channel general the Channel where the Vst or sound is playing. (output)
this sound output U can route to the other "Fx-Channels" and place them full with fx and yes u can route the output to 1 - 99 mixer channels full of fx but ur pc will fuck up than after a while

1 input , 3 outputs is not possible

1 output where the sound is played so the output is 1 channel where u can hear the sound
3 inputs where the FX goes to the Output channel.

This is exactly what I need. But once I send my output to channel 4 (in your pic or 7 in my mixer) I then try to send it to low, mid, high but it only sends to one. why is that ?
I click on channel 7 then click create sub-mix to 9, then if I try to click on 7 again to rout it 8, 7 disappears.

P.S. Fantastic paint skill bro ;D

It is possible, I'm 99% sure I've seen it done in FL studio 9 or even 8. (It would not surprise me in the slightest if they took it out.)

Thanks for the attempt to help :)

Kick.

I got Drumazon routed to mixer track 1,2,3 for effects. Now I want to rout them to 1 single channel (called output (channel number 7)) and then rout 1 (output(channel 7)) to 3 different channels and use them as a multiband EQ. (I could bounce the kick and then use 3 same kicks all at different channels but Since I'm never satisfied I would have to re-bounce it every 2 min or so. This way seems less time consuming over the long run.)
