Yes, maybe they are an exception and in other stores the sales are significantly decreasing. They can indeed not represent the whole Hardstyle market.nikkita wrote: Yes, but they are not the ones pressing vinyl... they order smaller amounts of vinyl -- nowhere near comparable to the initial run that is ordered anymore.
I don't think so. Equivalent development only started a bit later. It is soo much easier, faster etc. not to print the books, just put them online. The customer can have all his books on one device immediatly with one click, how handy .. so much advantages.nikkita wrote:You're missing the point -- completely...
Hm sorry, I always see TTs, even if they are not used that often. Especially in the Hardstyle Sector over here, they are used more often. I agree, that the CDJ is pretty dominant all in all.nikkita wrote: Sorry that you haven't been to very many clubs then...? Over here, unless you're in after hours, or unless the DJ specifically requests vinyl turntables, you're shit out of luck. Our music stores don't even rent them out anymore for the simple reason: "nobody uses them anymore".
I don't know who has the capacity to make such a quality control. Yes, there is beatport, that simple doesn't allow new labels. And on the other platforms I don't recognize a quality control, tbh.nikkita wrote:Yes, anyone can start an MP3 label -- but not everybody can get mass distribution on platforms where there -is- quality control. Those "exceptions" are also increasing, and the more they do increase, the more it becomes a standard.
That's right. So from my point of view, it would be the best to continue mp3 releases for average customers and vinyl pressing for the quality standard/prestige and the DJs who want to keep the advantages of the vinyl.nikkita wrote:Again, vinyl has a strong "niche" market... if you're content moving fewer units, a larger investment with a slower and smaller return then by all means -- it's the market for you... however, if you want to get the attention of the international market and tap in to profit in any way possible, it's best not to completely ignore what's soon to be the majority of your market.
I wouln't have a problem with 40kg carried in an UDG Trolley.Qre8ive wrote: Are you actually a dj in clubs? Are you also carrying around 40kg of vinyls everytime?
Next to that if you're getting more professional and start producing how are you going to play you're own tracks or any promo tracks from others? Vinyl is fun for sure, but just not up to date when it comes to the needs of DJs.

Are you actually a dj in clubs? Are you also carrying around 40kg of vinyls everytime?ceero wrote:Screw cds and cdjs. Seriously, what kind of pleasure it is to play from a cd player in compare with real turntable ? Barely any, its hard to believe for me that anyone who ever tried to play from vinyls would prefer/enjoy playing cds more. Vinyls are there for like 80 years and they will last for even more. They actually have some value what cant be said about some burned cds. When you have a vinyl, you actully REALLY own the track, not just some 1111s and 0000s file which u can download from anywhere whenever you want. And thats the way how vinyls PWNS cds and digital anytime, remember, real djs play vinyls
