It'll pitch your bass without changing it's length, so it'll keep it's drop at the normal place and stuff like that :)
it wont sound good at det high pitchs neither.
the kick will also lose it's effect.

Yeah that would be cool VOL-E. My kicks sound okay when i pitch them for sylenth1, but when i make kicks in sylenth1 they are always a lot more distorted/rawer than most kicks (i guess my kicks are kind of AVIO style), but these kicks dont really fit with uplifting melodies. Whenever i make a kick with Junglist, it sounds okay not pitched, but pitching from the VST is horrible, it doesnt even sound like a kick on the higher notes

Im hoping that Kontakt will allow me to have more control of my kick, especially when it pitches

the best way to make a nice pitch for ur bass is to resample the bass only. remember to export the bass in a long note(1 bar), so u dont have det problem with it gettin shorter when u pitch it.
the positive thing about this metode is that u wont get a 'bluffy' sound when the tail is pitchin, it will sound more fart'ish and cooler.
now ur thinkin of the kick itself.
its kind of a bad idea to pitch the kick with the bass. in that way the kick will lose its kick effect, unless u know how to controll its probably

heres one of my kicks, made from scratch with hydra(kick) and microtonic(bass).

random nexus lead. nothing serious..

Yeah i should have said resampling the bass only, i wouldnt sample the whole thing. Thats a nice kick you have there, and yeah that is the sound i am trying to achieve. Ive got Kontakt now but im going out soon so i dont have time to mess about with it, but heres a kick i made in Sylenth1 earlier, and this is it pitched from the VST.

Download file

Melody is from Profite & Hardstruction - Behind The Music. (Just added the intro quickly so you can hear it from its default note)

Im actually surprised at how well it sounds pitched from the VST :O

well yea, you can get real nice results by playing directly from vst, no doubts about that.
at 3:00, 6:49, 7:52, and 9:09 you can hear the result i got from playing directly, the kicks are homemade from scratch also.

the metode I explaind was more to the new producers that just so baaad want to do the famous NC BASS/KICK uuuhh! :+

I would like to know how does The Pitcher kick work. It has quite different type of bass when pitched up - like a little slide.
fuck the fake shiiiiiiiiieeeeet

maybe you already did that.....but try not to sample the effected kick sound but only the sound that comes out of the vst...then you pitch that sound and add the effects to e.g. kontakt...i hope you know what i mean :)

Again, those kicks sound good! And yeah i agree, the sampling makes them sound like most kicks with the "BOING BOING" when it pitches up :+, but thats what i wanted to make with an uplifting melody.

Thanks for all the replies, im gonna try out Kontakt now :)

Find something that use this pitch shifting algorithm:

http://dirac.dspdimension.com/Dirac3_Te ... ology.html

Try to use Lambda 1 algorithm, the other ones aren't that good for lower pitches, preferebly in mono mode. The pitch shifting is completely perfect but tend to create some phase problems, if you have any phase correction tool, like this: http://www.voxengo.com/product/pha979/, try the stereo mode anyways.

The sound is just perfect, doesn't leave that annoying transient noise like all other pitch shifting algorithms.
( But is very CPU expensive, is better to bounce each sample after pitching )
