I know it's almost an impossible task to follow-up after Darkest Hour, but this is an absolute boner killer imo. I sort of get that they didn't want to make Darkest Hour 2.0 and fail (like they did with Our Church 2.0/Amen) and respect that they tried to make something completely different, its just that... It sounds generic as fuck. I'm absolutely not sold this time + that dreadful Linkin Park from aliexpress vocal completely buries it for me.

I appreciate them not trying to replicate Darkest Hour 2.0 (like Amen to Our Church) as you said. After a few listens, I hear it as a SZP x DBSTF follow-up instead of a SZP x Ghost Stories one.

Maybe we’ll get another Ghost Stories follow-up in the future, but truly following up Darkest Hour after 6 years is a damn near impossible task. Them taking this approach was the better choice imo.
