No, i never said that, i said that Q dance is where they are because they never did a new concept or event anymore, they enshittyfied their existing ones till those broke and were ditched
VTraxx wrote: 26 Jul 2024, 13:49 They just on the way to closing Q-dance.. already started a new B.V. for Defqon..
They just gonna focus on Defqon as that was the only event that bring in the big money..
i already wrote about this in the post you're quoting

Well, in this style many artists will dissapear imo, only the big names will resist if they of course will still come with good stuff

I could see Qlimax do a Thunderdome and come back as an oldschoolish event tbh

that last one is an investment group that recently acquired them all, people are talking that they want to detach the Q branding from Defqon and leave it as a "standalone" festival a-la Tomorrowland
The timing is suspicious but the decision has been made way before the KKR deal. It became hard for them to sell the Qlimax concept to the kids while staying true to its roots + producing such an event became insanely expensive after Covid (while Qlimax probably never was their cash cow, seeing they don't have the F&B income at Gelredome either). Defqon.1 is their most promising and most profitable concept, so it makes sense to focus on this instead of pushing 'dead' concepts to the gen Z crowd.

Maybe Project one, Zany & The prophet, Technoboy, Showtek, Luna & Dana are a good choices, the rest a combination of new artists as usual.

Some people already guessed it could become a show comparable to Dediqated 2020. Doesn't seem far fetched, maybe with less artists in total though.

i didnt expect this choice this year but it was "in the air" for some reasons you already wrote here.
multiple factors.
the magic disappeared some years ago, actual generation need uptempo, actual raw with some pvc/metal kicks pushed to the limit the whole night and nothing more.
they don't care about the narration, everything is hyped up, tracks are shorter and heavier, the way of mixing is playing 1,30min song and then cut off with a 20 second uptempo/various stuff and then again another song, no flow on dj sets anymore and seems that young people doesnt care because they grow up with this.

it's business related to the actual demand + focusing on defqon with his 2932 sponsor and useless shows like the theater or the gym or whatewver(its ok but.... when you need more and more stuff besides music, you know that there is something wrong).

honestly i don't know who TF is the head of all these decisions :+ :+
in 2012 only with music and vlogs/ teasers on youtube from artists, labels and organizations, hardstyle reached the peak level in the world. now these motherfuckers act like business company that want to rule the world of parties but then karma punish themselves(karma= hardstyle people who lived it around before 2013). they can offer an handjob in the tents and this still won't help them reach his business goals lol, they can hype up at tomorrowland, but not with the dedicated crowd of hard dance music.

now i don't know if this will be the beginning of another indoor big qdance festival that can fit better the actual era
but for sure everything will remember qlimax because it was the hall of fame of hardstyle, i miss the start with a different genre, the whole narrative and flow of dj sets.
same was for hardbass(that actually i think they can take all the scene if they will do it again, imagine team raw, team extra raw, team classics, team euphoric or whatever)

but it is what it is, i expect something like dediqated, dont know about an anthem... but i expect that headhunterz will be present, just to enjoy and speak on stage because its part of his career, maybe with a last project one act with all those new tracks unreleased. same for ruffian
QLMX 11',12',13',14',16',18',19',23' | HARDBASS 12',16' | QBASE 13' | XQLUSIVE LEGENDS 14' | DEDIQATED 20' | ASOT1000 23' | DQ1 23'

is this it for large-scale all night parties in NL now?

ground zero is still going right?
nightmare I guess? (although nowhere near as big)

not much else to say, was never too interested in qlimax as hardstyle wasn't really my thing, but even when partying in the early 2000s it was always the main event - I went in 2018 because I had always wanted to see what the hype was all about but I always regret not going in 2014 with the 90 min hardcore ending or earlier to see AOF or Nosferatu & endymion when they were at the top of their game rather than miss k8 lol

so this feels weird for me just because this is the end of the last event that I was always aware of when I started partying, so I might go one last time but I'm gonna wait for the lineup

one question though for anyone who has knowledge of this KKR restructuring thing - I saw decibel was on the list of acquired festivals, does this mean a wind down of all the other B2s concepts as well?

would be useful to have a calendar or something for next year with all confirmed parties after everything has been cut

Like a random (even yearly?) event each time with a different name & concept? Not bound to anything specific just whatever comes?
Sorry, I was talking about this year's show concept for qlimax. I'm pretty sure they won't start with another big indoor event anytime soon.

How the line up do you think will look?

IMO i think it will be a sort of dediqated concept were they will bring some of the biggest acts in the history of this legendary event
