[16/11/2024] Qlimax - The Final Prophecy [NL]
[16/11/2024] Qlimax [NL]
Honestly, what I can't stand is the fact that they wiped out the event just like that.
It's Qlimax, a legendary event that has shaped hardstyle for a very long time. It is a festival that is very close to most people's hearts in our scene. We deserve a proper announcement.

Yeah, I’ve never been able to attend either and now I’ll never get the opportunity… welp.
Feels like we’re losing everything lately, but losing Qlimax actually hits pretty hard.

There's a high probability - but statistically speaking, there's always a chance for unlikely events to take place.

Fuck !! What the hell Q-Dance ?? Killing your most well know festival ?? What's going on up there ? I know last year wasn't sold out but still, what the hell ...
Qlimax was how I discovered Hardstyle in 2009, it's been part of my life as an unskippable night every year for more than 10 years. Even thought I stopped most events, I remained faithful to Qlimax because it's so special to me, I thought it would go on for many year still.
I feel robbed, why are you killing my younger self Q-Dance

This was most likely going to happen one way or another. The same thing happened to ID&T before they got bought out by SFX, and after. Thunderdome is its own brand, Trance Energy is dead, Innercity is dead, and Sensation/BLACK is dead. Q-Dance is to be absorbed by this holdings company and will become the Defqon.1 brand only.
There seems to be such a surplus of events now spanning across the whole genre, it's made Qlimax seem repetitive in recent years, especially with how little new music was revealed there. The lineups and even tracklists have become predictable to some extent.
It's sad, especially considering it's been a dream of mine to attend this event ever since I was a teenager. But oh well, there are still other wonderful events to look into.
I hope those attending have a wonderful time <3

Finally, they took a while lmao
i tought y'all would be happy to see this end as is, than seeing it become generic raw event N° 13 to be profiable
And i doubt they're closing because profit anyways, or that this has to be related to their recent aquisition, they've been killing their flagship events for years now, even before covid, to me its sounds like they lost it, any creative or straight lead to a clear vision, thats a good thing tbh, competition raises and they take away the monopoly from them, lets see how the scene crumbles

Who bought them? Q-dance exists anymore? They will have only an event, in this case Defqon?
Last years editions really changed it up a bit with shadow priests, showtek and so on.Shodan wrote: 26 Jul 2024, 03:16 Finally, they took a while lmao

I partly agree with you though they took some kind of soul out of the genre plus lack dedication overall and money reasons on top.
They already struggled against raw and couldn‘t match versus art of dance. However art of dance and the whole scene, supremacy etc became repetitive too.
I honestly think some people/artists need to find themselves after covid. Its been the first real first half of the year for everyone.
