Been working on and off alot on this track and its starting to sound like a song.

Is there anything ive missed or does it sound weird.

@Higgarn It doesn't sound weird to me, the melodic style makes me think of Airbase, and I like that

Nicely done, you got that 2000 style perfectly. I do think the pitch combination between de kick and the bass-line sounds a bit off at times.
And some of the sounds sound louder than the kick but that's probably just a mixdown issue. Overall, great job man!

I've been into lofi and synthwave lately and decided to hand-pick a few hardstyle songs and remix them in those style.

Nuracore oh wow, didn't know anyone else was experimenting with hardstyle tracks implemented into older type of music (Heartbeat) I like the Music To Us remake a bit more, I think you could use the spoken word vocal at least in the first break with some heavy reverb?

so this is my 80s alt rock/post-punk or modern doomer (call it however you'd like) version of Alphaverb's track. It's still WIP, not sure if I ever finish it up but the lyrics of the original sang with a melancholic and gloomy vocal would really fit the atmosphere. So... what's it like on the doomer side?

Yea Heartbeat is definitely still a work in process but overall, this is the idea. Still working on some more layers because it feels a bit on the thin end which I can't seem to figure out yet. I also tried the add the vocal to Music to Us but I can't seem to clean it up well enough and decided to leave it out. I was going for the "Music to us is a five-letter word. That is a nucleus of life" but yea, couldn't get the sample clear or find the original sample.

Your track sounds sick tho, fits really well! But... no vocal? Could do great with a filter that sounds like a land line tbh.

I've changed the mixdown a little and did some mastering.

@Nuracore I think this vocal really works in synthwave, it sounds cool, it's just that the melody gets boring on that tempo and needs an accompanying background melody I think...or else it could work use chords on the pad to make it more emotional
