The stats used to be spiked on the old forum, but I removed that. Obviously, there are a lot of bots out there trying to spam the forum (which is why we're moderating every first post by new users), but yeah the forum is still being viewed a lot just less people commenting.

I honestly think it's not only based on the actual event but more so the overall activity on this forum. Sure the event may bring in less hype than previous events but I'm sure if you go to one of the ones with 100+ pages and choose a random page you'll probably encounter a lot of names of users that are not around anymore

interesting to see, that qlimax is not sold out and on ticketswap you can catch tickets much cheaper.
completly different zu x-qlusive holland few weeks ago. it was sold out and on ticketswap the tickets were much more expensive thant the regular sale.
seems that some events and concepts work much better than the "evergreens" like qlimax

The general hype of Qlimax is just gone I feel as everything has been done with it already. A Defqon you can expand with more days/stages/crazy powerhour stuff/etc, but Qlimax you can only do so much with and really hasn't changed at all in quite a while. As long as it stays profitable for Q I'm sure they'll keep doing it, but as soon as it'll only break even or lose money I feel like it'll just disappear or get rebranded (similar to what happened with Q-Base).

This year I'm actually going though last qlimax for me was like 2010

After 13 times qlimax I'm happy I didn't buy a ticket, after TNT I would have to stay in the Gelredome until the end, on saturday I just turn off the stream, I can't stand the raw garbage

agree with that, it's the cycle, new generations doesnt feel qlimax as we felt years ago, scene and the whole concept and people working were different. anyway i will not be surprised if they will rebrand it in the next years.

p.s. it's like 4 years that i suggest to host "qlimax legacy" once in a while, when they do a qlimax night with some sets from the past edition, like a remember party, imagine a opening with mark sherry, then some of the best sets ever like headhunterz 2008, dbstf 2009, technoboy 2003, zany 2005 and on.
