^Filosofem is an absolutely amazing, I would almost say a genre defining album :) It's not exactly easy to separate the artist from the art in this case as the guy is just all around a horrible human being but that just doesnt change anything on the fact this is some amazing stuff.

Check out Faidra, a bit more modern sounding but heavily Filosofem era Burzum inspired BM :)

I finally got to witness Death (in some capacity anyway) live tuesday night!
It was the cover band named Left to Die featuring Matt Harvey (Exhumed, Gruesome), Gus Rios (Gruesome), Terry Butler (Obituary, ex-Death), and Rick Rozz (ex-Death), and was fucking amazing.
They went through the entirety of the album Leprosy, as well as 5-6 songs from Scream Bloody Gore. Insane evening and I had the biggest grin on my face from beginning to end. _O_ _O_

Maybe if you wrote some music you wouldn't need 6 kick drums!

ohoh I'm digging this! I think I'm going to do some more research :fist: and don't worry, there are lots of artists out there with questionable morality (if they weren't murdering people or burning churches, they were "just" tankies or fascists/nazis) yet I was able to listen to their songs. I've listened to some weird shit in my life but my mind and body are still not ready for Stalaggh/Gulaggh kind of stuff ngl :+

Tuesday I saw Dark Funeral and Cannibal Corpse - both were absolutely on fire that night.
Yesterday I saw Nile live after waiting for 16 years since last I saw them, and they absolutely blew me away again.
Today, I'm just extremely tired. Thank fuck for Metal!

^Man, I'm jealous. Not a huge CC fan but I love Dark Funeral fan and was hoping to see them here in Krakow, but ofc I kinda forgot about the concert after they announced it and only remembered when it was sold out :+

They're pretty active touring, so I'm fairly certain you can catch them fairlky soon-ish again.
And if you're into festivals, you'd definitely be able to find them on one of the big ones in the summer.

melodic, guitars drowning in reverb, faster and slower tempo, not too harsh vocals = amazing atmosphere, just how I like it <3
