I dont understand comments like this: The first kick is actually unique. You dont have to like it but it is weird to dispute that. The second kick immediatly reminded me of the midintro in D-Sturb - High Power Next Level Remix, so it is weird that this kick is supposed to be the inventive one :?
This. I already commented about the same as you but the only inventive thing that we can hear in those previews is the first kick. And the second kick, while not being bad, is the exact opposite of inventive. :+

the first kick sounds fucking amazing. I'm just hoping this wont turn into another pop-edm tune with 10 second of that kick. Really wish they would focus more on stuff like BASE

Being inventive does not automatically mean awesome. The execution hast to be good. Reverse or gated kicks are not inventive at all (at least nowadays) but can be amazing if done well. That seperates the good producers from the not so good ones. Piep kicks were also something rather new for the scene but are mostly shit, so there is that.

And in that preview the first kick just lacks a lot and I hope that I am wrong as soon as this track is officially out.

I might have used the word inventive a bit wrong but for me at least Sub Zero's breakthrough came via them having ideas and incorporated sounds like noone else in the scene. The first kick is something I wouldn't classify as that, but you cannot just reinvent the wheel for every song you do either. But it's just a "bad"kick in my ears, but I'm glad its the better once for others as it shows they doing something right as different people like different parts of the song!

But something being awesome/not awesome is an opinion by itself. ;)

And about the executed well or not part.. they're one of the best producers in the scene technically so they know what they're doing. Someone could say the kicks in Immeasurably or CTRL ALT DEL are not executed well, it would still just be an opinion.

Absolutely! It just sounded to me like being unique equals being good, while it is always a matter of taste.
And sorry, how could anyone take someone seriously on this forum who shits on the Immeasurably kick? :p

Yeah, it was just hypothetical :P

But yeah still, I like it when producers try new things even if it might sound 'weird'. Better than always playing safe and boring (sup KELTEK).

Pretty sure the second kick is from the Zatox collab they did in 2017 :+

Other than that, I usually like when SZP do something different, and this is definitely that, although, this one I don't like that much. Would have liked more, but it it's better than their rawphoric stuff still...
