25000 people squeezed inside, sweating like hell, coughing & screaming. Sounds like a very good idea during a pandemic.
Still less than 1% from the positive tests are from events. Proven by official numbers. Using common sense, it's not logical to ban events going by those numbers.

The dude's gotta stop calling people clowns if he doesn't want to use rational logic, or accept that he's being called back a clown himself.

Edit: what Derek said.
It's not me starting to call people clowns, I merely reacted on the Italian guy calling the Dutch government clowns.

Furthermore, it doesn't work calling people out on not using rational logic while not using it yourself.

Festivals can account for less than 1% of positive cases because not all people go to festivals. I dare even say the group NOT going is far greater. So on an absolute scale positive tests originating from a festival will be present far less frequent than positive tests from other encounters.

BUT....when someone is positive on a festival he has a far greater chance of spreading the virus to a lot more people (who then go on to spread it at work or at home) than during other encounters. So relatively the chance of the virus to spread further is higher on a festival than at home or any other place without 25.000 people packed together.

Also, calling out the healthcare system on not being able to process corona is a non-argument. Ofcourse, the (liberal) government has done a lot to make working in healthcare less attractive for everyone. But you can argue all you want about that, at this moment it won't stop the virus in any way. If you want to do your part, get your vaccine and relief the healthcare system, change jobs and become a nurse practicioner or any other job in healthcare and prepare your country for the next virus (and it's consequences)!

I am vaccinated and when it becomes available I will also do the third dose, but only for my family members.
I think that all the governors of Europe are playing with the people, which is why I say that they are clowns, including the Italian one.
the real problem is that european healthcare sucked before covid, intensive care units were full before the pandemic, but i see that many people believe these clowns.

I don't believe some random numbers on the internet. What is proof right now is that netherlands is potentially forced to shutdown again after barely 1 month from reopening, with a good vaccination rate and while many countries have been FULLY open for 6 months, without any stupid 00 restrictions and so on.

That just goes to show there's some obvious problems in the healthcare system and 2 years into this pandemic, its not acceptable that they're shutting down everything again with this high vaccination rate.

No war!
I'm just saying that the Netherlands has had one of the worst health care systems in Europe since before the pandemic, so let's not blame covid for why the Netherlands is in this disaster.
It's the fault of bad healthcare and politicians who are not able to run the country.

music has united me to your country for more than 10 years, but now it is normal that I am angry.
I booked a hotel for 4 days in amsterdam, I bought 2 flights, I bought the ticket and now maybe I can't even come to your country to enjoy my holiday because with the lockdown I don't think you can fly to your country.
So you understand I've wasted a lot of money.
