Thanks guys, I always need one day to process it, so today is a better day again. It also helps that we have quite a lot of work to do in our new house, which is a nice distraction :)

Today had to put down my cat of 13 years. We've had cats before that lived long and dealing with their death was fine. But this one hurt bad. He was super smart compared to any other cat I've seen before and had a very unique personality. We invented our own little language of communication and were very close.
He had a few chronic conditions for years now and we were managing them, but I always knew the end is coming. Still it was a shock when we actually had to put him down...
We will meet again. Rest in peace my friend.
