Some of those conversations were private so I can't share but it is something probably 10-12 artists have told me over the years - which I obviously don't agree with hence my postKedde wrote:Who said that though? It's quite the generalisation of "artists" to just claim that, don't you think, mate?ThePrincipal wrote: the artists think they sound shit. Not sure why they don't just embrace them for what they are and how they were made at the time. Old tunes can fit anywhere if you think carefully enough on where to place them, but people can't be fucked doing it much anymore and use the "it sounds shit" excuse.![]()

ceero, Dylann and Practice
spitting facts but at the end of the day this

What's the point of updating an old Dark Oscillators track? Hardly anyone is going to recognise or get any nostalgia from hearing a Trapped (2020 remuxx), the 1% who do will probably hate it anywayDjVero wrote:Isn't it also because the crowd just don't give a flying fuck about good mixing? We as music nerds do care, but we are what, 1% of the entire hardstyle scene? Guys like Geck-O attract a whole different crowd than a random mainstage or a BLUE (referring to DQ) tent. So why waste time and energy in becoming a diversified DJ when the crowd just simply don't care?
