In my opinion this was a very good edition! I've been going since 2011, and I'd say that 2015 and 2017 were definitely below expectations. This year, all the sets were fabulous, the show was amazing as usual, the stage was pretty good. It blended in very nicely with the arrangement of the lights and all, even if the construction itself was not as impressive as other times.

I do love qlimax for the diversity of the sound and the escalation from early to euphoric, raw and hardcore. But overall I enjoy rawstyle the most, and I had been hoping for a RR set since the beginning. And man, did he deliver! This was one of my most epic qlimax experiences and something to remember for a lifetime _O_ Pure epicness. We were going absolutely nuts. Then miss k8 closed with an another incedibly engergetic set and I felt very fulfilled in the end. Keltek, DBSTF, Headhunters & D-Sturb were amazing as well, and all the others were good. I hope very much that Q will now stick to the storytelling and costumes, it makes so much of the whole atmosphere. And the atmosphere at qlimax is what sets it apart from all the other events I've been.
I'd always like to see bigger & more transforming stages, like 2013 and 2016, and please just give us the curtain every time.
Also I think the intros in 2011 and 2012 were awesome, but I don't think we'll ever see them return, and maybe I just liked it a lot because it was my first experience of this kind.

For me very very likely not my last qlimax yet :) (H)

My 9th Qlimax in a row since 2011, and that was for sure the HARDEST Qlimax we ever had ! Even the more "euphoric" acts dropped some heavy kicks :fist:

Stage was great, loved the design and all the little details, I don't understand people complaining about the no-transformation stage, like if it has always been a rule for Qlimax stage (we only had 2 transformation stage in 9 years, 2013 and 2018). People act like spoiled children and can't even enjoy the amazing production Q-Dance delivers anymore.

Set of the night was probably DBSTF, but every sets were great (maybe except SR but I'm not really fan of them). And Miss K8 delivered a crazy hardcore finish, gave the last energy I had left _O_

6th Qlimax for me, and I am very pleased with this edition. DBSTF is doing such a great job keeping the euphoric scene interesting, and for me their set was jaw dropping!

Not happy with SR, at least 1/3 of their set felt like sing along lyrics.

The sound was really good this year, the stage was impressive and I didn't see any teargas this year (can someone confirm this?) even though I went through security without being checked at all, felt bad.

8/10 for me!

I didn't mean to complain about non-transforming stages :) I just really like those transform moments, 2012 also had a few, and I'd like to see it return.
But this year's stage was still interesting enough with some great effects.

For my very first Qlimax it was quite good but didn’t blow me away either...

Positive:
- Epic music.
- Fantastic sound, by far the best quality I’ve ever witnessed indoor.
- Sick lasers and pyrotechnics.
- Great DJ costumes and nice overall Qlimax atmosphere.
- The seats are really nice to take a break.
- Lots of people but didn’t feel to overcrowded. You could still move around and do some basic dancing.

Negative:
- The warmup Qreator (Tuneboy ?) should have played more classics and even early stuff.
- Qlimax really needs a surprise act in the future. Myst would have been cool af for this edition. And no... Qreator doesn’t count as surprise act.
- Stage was meh, it had great visual effects but the design wasn’t so good, it seemed small, boring and the painted walls behind almost went unnoticed.
EDIT: Biggest Problem was that the bottom part of the stage had the most emphasis, the whole top part was missing details imo. The whole event I stood behind or middle in the crowd, never in the very front, so I never noticed the bottom decorations. Q-Dance should definitely focus more on the top part of the stage !
- Rejecta was a letdown after the D-Sturb set. The raw quickly got repetitive (maybe one raw act less). I’d prefer have some more diversity instead.

Best festival experience remains Defqon1 & Mysteryland.

Im not sure what to say... looks like im the only person who disliked the music this year. Dont see any reason to put some random guy there to open, why not getting some guys like Deepack so we can hear something different in the beginning?

Sound Rush played their 2018 set with few new tracks, energy still great.
DBSTF felt like they were playing the same track for the last 15 minutes, Ran - D & Headhunterz nothing special at all, every build up and drop feels like the same for me. D-Sturb set pretty much what i expected and heard many times this year.. also too much Roughstate for me. Rejecta was ok. So many good tracks ruined by shitty kicks and drops

Liked Radical & Keltek, but thats all.
Stage was really meh.. our friend got their phone and money stolen (6)

"OK" edition, because it was too predictable, and FFS, stop smoking cigarettes and weed inside!

edit:

So many great acts, so many memories and u just put "Qreator" on the stage who plays TNT stuff. Wtf?`

my 4th qlimax and it was really awesome one. Met alot of new people, totaly random to which i spoke and and had fun with, which is one of the goals when going to concerts and festivals just to make it more fun and memorable. costumes were back which I was thrilled AF about. stage was ok, could be a little better designed, but i won't be a nitpicker. nothing will beat 2016 for me (talking about stages i've seen IRL). sets were really good, and my highlight was dbstf, b-front and heady. I really think soundwise, sound quality was the best yet. i was all the time in the front, like 5-10 m in front of the stage, and you could clearly hear full spectrum of frequencies compared to all editions before + HB. In all the other times i was in Gelredome, if I went infront all i could hear, or feel actualy was bass and sub which i hated.
all in all, really solid edition :)
The DJ spins a galaxy of black vinyl, for the gods that came to dance!

Keltek was okay (we entered the Dome around 11 o'clock)
Sound Rush were okay-ish, except the classic tracks, those were fucking nice. Next Dimensional World. _O_ _O_ Only pretty much own melody-stuff which all sounded the same but with a few alterations.
D-Block & S-Te-Fan were fucking awesome _O_
Headhunterz was 50/50. I don't know, but to me it sounds like his tracks lack energy or something. Some drops were fine though, especially those I will call it DBSTF - Brace Yourself mid-intros. So powerful. Funny to see we suddenly had a lot more space to dance when he came up, so far the title 'hardstyle leader' lol.
B-Front was boring, as expected. His stuff sounds so much the same  It drained my energy so much, but luckily there was...
Fucking Ran-D _O_ Best set of the night; hard and pounding, good variation of tracks. When I went to bed the next morning I still had his tracks buzzing in my head lol.
Rejecta was boring
Radical Redemption god-awful set. God, I fucking hate that kind of raw. Pure pure pure garbage, nothing more. Good moment to replenish though. I so hope this kind of sound will fuck off soon.
Miss K8, fucking hot chick, but that's pretty much all. I liked the first 20 minutes or so, but Uptempo is pure Radical Redemption-shit.

Music-wise maybe not the best, but our group and the whole atmosphere made up for that. Especially that sound system, holy shit. I don't think I've ever experienced a better sound system after all these years of going to events. How fucking good was that? _O_ So hard, so pounding, so clean. Big ups to Q-Dance for mastering it.

A good thing those last sets were nothing special, because my wife got too drunk and I had to watch after her a little bit. :naughty:
