Man, how cool would be a Noisecontrollerss classic set at the beginning.

I don't think Bas would ever agree to doing that doing a classic set on a non-classics event is basically agreeing that your current music is apparently not good enough.

That comparison doesn't feel fair though. Comparing the state of NC 2010 and 2019 is like day and night.

2010: Still relatively new and in the process of revolutionizing the scene. Bas plays an opening set as Pavelow, where the majority of the played tracks were made by other producers. (Set was fucking amazing imo. )

2019: No news, but the last 2-ish years it's been obvious that Bas has been struggling somewhat with his new productions. The stakes are higher now, and I would accept that as a reason for him possibly not wanting to play a classic set

However, as you say, he has one of the most humble personalities within the scene. I would REALLY love it to happen, but I'm doubting there will be a classic set this year. It feels as if Q-dance is actively phasing it out more and more, which is a shame.

It just doesn't feel plausible, hope I'm wrong.

A little recap for all of you:

-Wildstylez is in China, so it's unlikely a P1 surprise act

-B-front is the anthem maker so no side projects: what about SZP last year and their "bonus set" (wouldn't call it "surprise") with phuture noize?

-Am I wrong, or ALL the Ghost Stories sets need EVELYN as a live performer? I think she also has a voice to say "yer or no".

I still think that B-Frontliner is the most likely one. Ghost Stories wouldn't be "that" surprising and I still think that DBSTF should have already played as Ghost Stories. That said, I'd gladly hear their set as Ghost Stories if that will be the surprise.

Also, I haven't checked all the bookings for all the other major acts in the platinum agency. Maybe something interesting could be already there.
