Speaking of CB, he released a good and entertaining album last year, played at many main stages while having a blast in his career and yet, he didn't make it to Qlimax. (While i was expecting him)John Cove wrote:Interesting to see that there is only one artist not from NL in the line up. NL is dominating the scene more than ever.
Even the aussies have a hard time nowadays (well Code Black is pretty big but released not one single track this year). No italians, no germans (who anyway?).
Shame if you ask me while putting <XY> on line up....

Agree. Don't see why SR and Miss K8 are booked this year. There are so many others that could have filled those spots and deserve it more.Tomix wrote:Speaking of CB, he released a good and entertaining album last year, played at many main stages while having a blast in his career and yet, he didn't make it to Qlimax. I also think there are acts that should replace RR, even though he deserves a spot through former performances. But why is he here this year? Should have been either long ago or combined with some future showcase imho. Wouldn't acts such as Rebelion, Delete or hell, even Degos & Re-Done make more sense? Maybe I'm wrong.

*Still hyped with huge expectations for this year's edition*

For me is so unfair to not see guys like Toneshifterz or E-Force at qlimax

Code black actually made it to Qlimax in 2013, Toneshifterz is far from good enough for Qlimax, especially now he's just a below average euphoric producer tbh, would be as bad as booking tweekacore to me. Rr completely deserves it, and his productions are still quality. Out of all you name degos & redone ? lol..
Not saying they're bad but please. And rebelion??? Sure, they have improved, but they aren't any better than RR and in the past they have never proved to be pioneers(unlike RR).

I don"t see a problem what so ever with Rebelion playing at Qlimax(???Derek11596 wrote:Code black actually made it to Qlimax in 2013, Toneshifterz is far from good enough for Qlimax, especially now he's just a below average euphoric producer tbh, would be as bad as booking tweekacore to me. Because the pioneer argument you're using feel less relevant. Ofc it still has meaning, but not as it used to. Trending has a bigger impact on bookings which can be noted through examples as Da Tweekaz, Tweekacore, SZP with anthem (shortly after their big breakthrough, aswell as before some pioneers), Dr. Peacock, etc.
Sure it's been some copy paste pioneer bookings every other year , but it has changed a bit the last years, wouldn't you agree on that? Are you considering Rejecta as a pioneer aswell with less than 2 years in the scene? KELTEK? SR? Miss K8? My point is, whats trending is mainly playing.
Not trying to bash RR, I know he's a good producer, just saying there are others (in this case E-force, Delete, warface) with a whole lot of "pioneering", basically at a level comparable to RR, but with much stronger recent trending. That is why I don't see why they put RR on the lineup this year.

How does warface have a stronger recent trending? Or eforce? They are both way past their prime, kinda same as RR with the difference that RR is actually making making so much music lately(with ups and downs but still, lots of great stuff coming out too)..
And while I agree rebelion are at their prime and would have deserved it over rejecta for example(even tho rejecta I think is the better producer), I still don't see them being there before RR.. U have a point with the trending thing, but naming warface and e-force, when they're both past their prime and not doing any better than RR, just feels wrong.
I do fully agree with Delete though, I'd have loved delete there.

in my opinion the last 3 name to match better qlimax could be rejecta delete radical redemption and delete with his own xtra raw style, d sturb ok but delete deserve more and his style is different
QLMX 11',12',13',14',16',18',19',23' | HARDBASS 12',16' | QBASE 13' | XQLUSIVE LEGENDS 14' | DEDIQATED 20' | ASOT1000 23' | DQ1 23'

I agree with the point that trends are more important for Q-Dance than what producers have done in the past. I mean, Noisecontrollers, Code Black, Atmozfears(?) are true pioneers and legends in the scene tho Keltek, D-Sturb, DBSTF are just more trendy right now because they please the scene with stuff they desire.
.
How are Atmoz and Code Black more of a pioneer for you than Keltek (as PP) or DBSTF? These guys are "famous" or let's call it "part of the bigger names" since like 2008-2009 and have brought many nice tracks and new ideas to the scene. Same for D-Sturb IMO even though he's still quite newJohn Cove wrote:I agree with the point that trends are more important for Q-Dance than what producers have done in the past.
