[07/09/2019] IMPAQT - Festival Of Titans [NL]

We (group of 3) really enjoyed the festival.
We were at the Mainstage most of the time and had an awesome time. We switched to "The Dome" and the open air Hardcore stage (was called "The Invader" I think) later in the night.
The times were perfect for us so. Ending at 2 was the perfect choice, as we had enough time to sleep at the hotel we picked and drive back home.

So concerning Travel & Stay:
This was the 3rd time we used it (did it with the last 2 Qlimax Events too). The last 2 times at Qlimax everything was perfect.
But this time, we missed almost the whole Titan Showcase, because (as Q-Dance told the person on the phone, who called them) the bus company fucked up and instead of arriving at 11o'clock, our bus finally arrived at 12:30. Put the time to drive over into account, we arrived shortly after 13 o'clock. So yeah. Not a great start. But we will write Q-Dance a mail about that.

But after that we had an awesome time at Impaqt. Free Tapwater was awesome, but they should make these plastic bottles/bags a bit more stable. A friend of me had to replace his 3 or 4 times (so they replaced it without him needing to pay again) because the part were the metal thingy was connected ripped apart.

So all in all. Great experience (so we never went to Q-Base, so I can't compare them).

I really enjoyed the event.

It felt a bit smaller and less crowded than last year Q-Base, but I didn't mind. I love when you have a lot of space to move around and dance.

+ Outdoor large hardcore stage with good lineup
+ Massive and large main stage with a nice mashup of artists and styles
+ General feel of the festival (not too mainstream, not too "die hard")
+ Happy crowd
+ Surprise fireworks at the end of the event (wasn't expecting them)
+ The new 14pm-02am time feels better. For me it is perfect and better than say 11am-11pm or 17pm to 07am. That being said, they stole two hours compared with last year. It would be great if they could do a 12am-2am festival next year.

- Mainstage decoration wasn't as good as last year. I missed the crazy light concepts on the deco eyes of last years.
- Couldn't really feel the titan theme beside the huge spider / lezard faces behind the stages
- Slimed down fireworks (or so it seemed)
- 20 euros parking.. wtf

But overall I had a really good time! You Netherlanders are lucky to have such event within hours of your homes!

reading this, I am glad I didn't bother, I would have been difficult for me to make it this year and although I'm sure it was a great party, after 8 years of q-base I don't think I would have been happy putting so much effort in to get there this year, will see what they come up with next year.....

If it can make you hesitate, for me Impaqt was better than any of the three Q-Base I've attended

think one of my favourite things about q-base was watching the sun come up in the morning with the hardcore blasting, getting rid of the night concept and scaling everything else back was probs never gonna make me happy lol
