This is why :) they couldn't get licensing for The Unknown (also 2 Steps From Hell) so i'm afraid this one is hard as well

Makes me wonder why the hell artists sampling stuff they can never get clearance for in the first place. So that they can make a track, tease everyone with it and than never release it?

It's a bit of a gamble, I guess.

"I am a simply man - I see a sample I like, I put it into my track" principle :D

I take it they just see things they like and creativity flows...

I'm starting to think the same. Atmozfears also released Rapture back in the days and he bothers with getting clearance for stuff like Enya now, I take it both were so small back in their days that nobody bothered. But once you get back you cannot risk taking these gambles anymore.

Apparently even free releases can get you sued nowadays - since your career "profits" of another persons work. Kinda ridiculous.

Depends where the label is based, I think. In the US, it falls under 'Creative Use'. Atleast, afaik.

First post in a looooong time!

Can you name me some classic mashups? Don’t have to be ‘early Hardstyle.

I’ve got:

Wavolizer - Saifam/Activator mashup
Hhz - Saifam mashup
Zany - Scrambled

Any more out there you’d recommend for a Classixx set? :)
