lol becuase i do a lot of work, especially with design using photoshop and illustrator..i also multitask, so those porgrams chew up my memory. Im getting another macbook dedicated for production..so that all my production software is in there..ever have photoshop, illustrator, cubase and logic running at the sametime? it's horrible..

i HAVE to run them at the sametime..unless im busy doing a project for my studio...
but its my decision to have a computer for production..and keep it with the studio..the other laptop would be coming with me everywhere :listen:

and i exagerated on the HARDSTYLE computer..i want it for production in general :fist:

Okidoki then.. that explains it :)
Was a bit baffled why you would need a seperate PC for hardstyle production.. but I know what you mean. Programs these days chew up memory like fat kids chew on big macs.

yup :p
especially with photoshop..my projects consist of posters and magazine covers..the photos have to huge...and my biggest has been 32,000 pixels
knowing that the average size is roughly 1024x900 :fist:

i compare it like this:

^notice no equal to, nor a subject to compare it to :one:

My momentary rig...I'm missing my Laney amp but it's got to go back to the seller as it's broken.

hey are those KRKs any good? I want to get some studi monitors but not expensive ones..and nothing that's sold separate..as a pair preferably..right now i have my dad's old Bose.. Bose 201 Series II

for being old, they're really great speakers..and have withstood the many years i used them for gigs..i used them not for the crowd but for my self in my booth :one:

and they still sound new..it's these (not my picture):

and for not being technically studio monitors, they have done their job incredibly well..but i am starting to dedicate more time to my "studio" and am in the process of building the studio..i would like to have real studio monitors

thanks!!

@divadro,
I was using an unbranded pair of hi-fi speakers (and still getting tracks released!) until I got the KRKs, but as soon as I got them the difference was amazing. I could hear everything wrong with my mixes & most importantly my eqing. I'd borrowed a few pairs of monitors before getting these too and they were not quite up for it it terms of bass & clarity.

@MKN,
This soundcard occasionally decides that it doesnt want to work any more. I can keep it on for 2 weeks & it'll work fine, or I can load it up and it'll stop working after half an hour... had enough of it!!
Don't get me wrong, the sound is good, the mic & guitar inputs are good & loud, but the tech support from m-audio just has the same excuse all the time to everyone who has this card, "it's a problem with you're PC's firewire" and "ICQ conflicts with firewire" which begs the question; why make a firewire card if you can't make it work correctly??
