It's only about marketing these days...ceero wrote: And well, this way they slapped 3 standard tunes together and present is as 'groundbreaking' without really taking any risk, and as you can see it fit's the main crowds idea of 'an experimental track' anyway, genious marketing if you think about it

I don't think you understood the concept of this track tbh.
It's not a single track because it's not meant to be a single track, it's meant to be 3 tracks linked together.
If they had called this OST and not anthem nobody would even talk about this...
This is the best anthem since No Time To Waste which was the best ever.

And i, with all the respect, think you are a little too easy to impress.
Listen to a Tool or Pink Floyd album, thats a music with a real concept. Or Audiofreq, to not go that far. Again, i like it but let's not pretend it's something that it's not.

Nonono don't get me wrong, I don't think this track is really groundbreaking or anything, just that people take it as a long-uncohesive anthem like a single track which is not even the purpose of the track imoceero wrote:And i, with all the respect, think you are a little too easy to impress.

Of course, while I really love it because I personnally love the melodies and sound design, it's not especially ahead of its time, but I really love the concept and I hope they keep it for the next years, imagine a trio like Atmo x SZP x Nosferatu or something like that

Yea i guess it's just subjective. My problem is I don't see the concept you are talking about. I get what you mean but i just don't feel it, what i see is just 3 different tracks slapped together in a mashup thats losing its flow because of too many breakdowns. If you took 3 completely random tunes, one from each and put them together climax after climax after climax with a Defqon1 theme breakdowns in between, you wouldnt get a terribly different result.
As much as i think that frenchcore stinks like 3 weeks old bacon, i have to admit that Sefa has some impressive composing and sound design skills, why not utilize that into something a bit out of the box? Why not let him do a melody and a kick and let Phuture Noize work around it? Or the other way around? Despite the radio friendly hardstyle PN is doing these days, the guy's creativity is insane. There are endless possibilities and they just ended up with a tune that has 3 totally different part, each of which sounds like 100 pure work of each of the guys with much influenc from the other. And in the result its just way too long. I think it's a missed opportunity. Check the Thera and Ophidian collab, thats what i'm talking about.
I know i know, this will work amazing for the endshow and all the 19 years old instagram kids will cream all over it and it will generally go down the canon as a successfull anthem, but i'm judging what im hearing and i'm little more difficult to impress than this.

Spoiler
Check this btw, i think you might like it. Basically the same kind of tune from 2007 by The Prophet, Ruthless and Neophyte. Wasn't popular when it was released i got to say, basically it was forgotten about it a week after it was released, buuuut i guess thats the fate of many less popular event anthems in general

Random as fuck, such a shame to not have a summer feeling in 3 tracks
I think it was not well communicated this way..they announced OMG 3 of the current TOP people working on the anthem, get hyped...and it is 3 different tracks instead of one...
You get what i'm saying?
Thrillogy Anthem was perfect this way, all 3 artist were present, and still felt one track.
