Playing and altering a pattern in the playlist in realtime?

Post by Wavelength »

Not sure if it makes sense, I am making a lead in sylenth and wondering if theres a way I can put the pattern into the playlist alongside the kick and as I alter it in the piano roll it changes on the playlist?

Possible? Or do I need to bounce each pattern?

Oh... FL 12 :)

Well, if you change notes in the paino roll, the pattern you wrote in, changes in the playlist aswell. So every change you do in the paino roll will be in the pattern aswell. But then you dont have your older pattern anymore. If you wanna use your first pattern of the melody in the palylist and also your second pattern of the melody right after in the playlist, you have to do a real second pattern for your alternation as far as I know.

This is the default behavior of patterns in a playlist :) Once you change something in your pattern, it is immediately changed in the playlist also.

I would suggest that you look up a beginner's tutorial to FL, or alternatively just watch some people produce via clips on youtube etc. Placing a pattern onto the playlist is literally one of the most basic features of FL.
