I think it is a good album after hearing it twice but nothing that stands out. This will probabyly
change over time but first time listening didn't blew me away.

After listening trough the album i have to say that it's just ok.

The best track for me is No one can stop us now. And i really like the intro in Our Church :fist:

But the thing that bothers me a little is that it sounds not "clean", and that ruins it for me a little bit.
And most of the tracks sounds like he is just "playing it safe" and not improving his sound.

So just ok this time, but curious to see what he will make for the future :)

I really like this (mini) album. Not a single track I dislike which is rare. I am especially a sucker for Rescue Me right now tbh

#1 track on this gotta be Path Of The Hunter for me. FUCK _O_

Really love the Scantraxx Rootz-ish vocals in Still Standin'. Rescue Me is a nice atmospheric euphoric track, No One Can Stop Us Now is EPIC (though I like Tonight better). Our Church is really good aswell. Nothing average about this album, don't understand those posts. You can not like this but it's far from average. Production quality also clean as fuck except maybe for the 'raw/unclean edges' in some tracks' mixdown but I deffo think that's on purpose. The interludes don't really add a lot for me, like his 24/7 mysterious approach and thematic sound but just gimme more music instead of interludes. :naughty: Destiny, Takin It Back - heard them too many times already.

All in all, awesome album _O_

"Path of The Hunter" and "Our Church" are both exceptionally good! Both tracks caught me by surprise so big ups to heady.
When I heard "No One Can Stop Us Now" I immediatly thought about star wars episode 7... That movie kinda was Episode 4 but in new, so is "No One Can Stop Us Now" (With "Tonight" ofc). Beautiful work.
But I dont need those interludes either. Those dont add anything to the album
Bad mixdown? :?

OT: Mini-Album is great AF. This storytelling is exactly what I love in Hardstyle.

  1. Intro - Bit of choirpath, erm, thats it. I can't really give this a rating
  2. Rescue Me (w/ Sound Rush) - I got bored with this. It's like Willem's gone away, come back and just resumed the slightly-above-average stuff he was doing just before he left. More chanting/choirpaths. Sorry not a great fan 5/10
  3. The Truth (interlude) - I literally didn't realise this was a separate track whilst listening. Loves a good chant though does Willem.
  4. Takin' It Back - This is better. Gets me moving this does. It's bouncy, which is what I expect from a Headhunterz track and it's got a decent melody. Definitely one of the better tracks he's done since his comeback. 8/10
  5. No One Can Stop Us Now (w/ Wildstylez & Noicesontrollers) - A lot of these sounds are taken from World of Madness and the vocals sound like Tonight. This track literally sounds like World of Madness Tonight 2. It's a decent enough melody and gets me going but it's nowhere near the level of Tonight. 7/10
  6. Destiny (Cinematic Edit) - I love the atmosphericy bits he's added on. They definitely add to the track and give it a better feeling. I like Destiny anyway but it's still the same problem as Rescue Me. It's like the same style as tracks he made just before he left and it's just good. I'ts not brilliant. 7/10
  7. Still Standin' - Ok this one took me by surprise. Love that intro. THAT KICK! Holy christ. This is the best track of the album so far. Not so sure about his silly gangster vocals. Willem's about the tamest person i've ever seen in my life. Great melody, fantastic kick. Properly got me going. For sure, this is the best track since his comeback and possibly for a year or 2 before as well 9.5/10
  8. Path of The Hunter - Lovely atmospheric intro. The midintro sounds like he's trying too hard to be Sub Zero Project which is a bad thing. The break has some more lovely atmospheric japanese chanting (loves a good chant does WIllem). The melody is pretty awesome. Sounds like a proper Headhunterz melody. The climax is frigging awesome as well. This sounds like a Headhunterz track should sound. I like this quite a lot (L) it's not as good as Still Standin' though. 9/10
  9. Eye of The Storm (interlude) - just some inspirational words. Glad it's not more chanting this time
  10. Our Church (w/ Sub Zero Project) - When i first heard this, the other day, I wasn't impressed. Now i've heard it in context of this EP, it sounds better. Still not amazing. That midintro is classic SZP. The melody is once again in the newer style of Headhunterz (same as Rescue Me and Destiny) but that SZP kick makes it a better track. It's a decent enough track. 7/10
The whole EP averages at 7.5 which is good but not brilliant. Compare this to Pursuit of Thunder, which is only 2 tracks more and the differene is marked. Marco has much more quality. For me, from Willem, I expect more than 2 tracks in 10 to be rated at 9+. He is the best ever. I'd say this release is clearly good, but not quite at the top level we expect. Still Standin' though. What a track.

Also, Willem loves a good chant

In absolute love with Still Standin' . Easily the best track on this album. What a FUCKING melody
