I found it odd that they have music that was made (or at least released) AFTER the festival.....

Still nice though - they clearly time it with the pre-registration of the next year's festival now

And yeah pretty weird to put 2017 tracks in it, but it's obviously done on point just before the ticket sale starts.

Jep, it feels like it is just an advertisement video for Defqon 2017. Everything feels so rushed and there are way to many cuts. It feels soulless.
Expected more after 8 months, but I still enjoyed to watch it.

Ok so here's my take on this. Objectivly this is a good aftermovie and I do like it. But especially due to the long time we had to wait for it, I cant deny that some of my expectations (while admittedly being very high) were not met. My first impression while watching was that it felt a little rushed. Had I not known better I wouldve advised Q-Dance to take more time with the aftermovie next time. When comparing this directly to the imo brilliant aftermovie from 2014, I think that the 2014 one did a way better job at highliting the different genres and staged. Also I think some of the songs played too short this year and were cut off right when I got exited to hear more of it, if know what I mean. That might be due to the fact that, again in comparison to 2014, this aftermovie had almost the same number of tracks playing while being more than 10 minutes shorter. Furthermore, I do understand their decision to leave out most of the Power Hour and Endshor footage since we already saw the full videos but during the aftermovie it felt almost like a trailer for said videos and I got the impression that I might be better of watching them instead. I want to add, that I belive alot of this can be excused by the weather in 2016. And since Q-Dance wants to show as little as possible rain in their aftermovie (I think rain at festivals can be awesome by the way, and would happy to see some raving crowds in pouring rain in the aftermovie) this rendered alot of their footage unusable.
This is of course all my personal opinion and not supposed to be "hate" or anything like that. I belive Defqon1 is one of the best festivals in the world and I love the whole community around it. See it as critique on the highest possible level.
