I still prefer NC/Wildstylez/Code Black/Atmozfears 10 times over Rebelion/D-Sturb/Radical Redemption.

And still, I like some heavy tunes at the end of a set, tho not for 6 hours straight since many of those tracks sound the same. Even my friends who love raw agree with the fact that each of them have a very similar structure & signature sounds.

Not a fan of this "160 BPM is better than 150 BPM because it's faster" thing. It's about the emotions you get while listen to this music.

But he is not wrong.. i really love some RAW acts, i love all styles and i loved every festival i visited so far... BUT

I have to agree with that "RAW soldier" point, this is no fun anymore. If u want to kickroll, get you some space and do whatever you want.. but stop acting like you were alone. It happened 2 times now my GF got punched by a kickroll idiot.
And why the fk so many of them are aggresive as hell? I never met such ignorant people on any hardcore stage on any festival and i can remember well the Q Base closing from Angerfist, when the only "Raw soldier" eat way too many pills and got dragged away by his friends.

Do whatever you want, really.. but stop acting like you are alone. Please!

@Topic
Dat stage! :omg:
Really dont want to join this silly discussion, only thing I can tell that stop stalking around other people and their way to party and enjoy your own.
I remember we had Monday Bar Cruise, with raw artist and a lot of people who loved it. And really, nobody of them was agressive, just nobody. Everyone came to have their best time, and just enjoyed the music. And I can tell you for sure, that there is nothing worse than drunk swedish guys :D
Because you don't go to Dutch parties. The amount of Rawstyle Soldiers on any Dutch party is insane.

Anyways, I'm not here to hate on specific groups of people since the DJ's are feeding them wannabe-hard track after wannabe-hard track and are keeping the hype alive themselves.

I just hate this 'harder = better' attitude, the fucking stupid marketing tricks (DJ's creating a following by using kill/destroy/army texts in their tracks), selling fucking stupid merchandise, the stupid 'fuck the mainstream, we are harder, we are better' attitude which is extremely childish. Plus the fact that this genre grew apart so far that (especially in NL/parties/Dutch forums) that liking Da Tweekaz is 'uncool' and you have to be as 'rough' and Raw2DaBone as possible because 'euphoric is for pussies' and raw is 'the real stuff'. Fucking cringe. Pushing the BPM of your set gradually from 155 to 165 isn't equal to 'a good set'.

And why the fuck does the lineup go from BM/Noisecontrollers/Wildstylez/BH to Adaro/DP/PN/B-Front? If it's true what you say propells, then it feels like the majority of the HB visitors was 'waiting till it was going raw till they can finally go wild' ??

Where's the times where people liked both raw and euphoric? Why do people at Hard Bass not go wild until raw starts? Why don't they go to Loudness or Qapital or whatever?

Plus if that's true that a lot of people didn't dance untill the rawcore started that's fucking unfair towards especially NC and WSZ, they deserve so much better. Still 100x better musicians than Rebelion.

Emre, please.. I can understand your frustration but obviously the majority of the scene doesnt agree with you, which is why it is going this path and has been for a couple years now.

The reason why all those "silly rawsoldiers" go to HB is probably because the production is alot bigger than Loudness/Supremacy ++ It's cool to be able to experience such hard music in Gelredome with that insane stage.

And ofcourse people danced to NC, Wildstylez etc. But the atmosphere was veery different on yellow/red, in a better way. And that's not because of "pillz" alone. The reason to why there's a attitude towards euphoric might be because of statements and attitudes like Wasted Penguinz and other producers. I was backstage on HB with Rebelion and their family and all i can say is that some of the euphoric artists seem really cocky towards them and raw. Maybe even jealous.
I think we all know the answer.. Explosions!

Emre your analysis of raw fans seems to me like you spend too much time thinking about them. I can't really complain about any particular sub genre of HS or HC because I like it all but I really don't care how the next guy is acting or what music he's liking. At the end of the day the genres will follow what the people like so if raw really isn't as great as you say it is then it will fade. But, there are a lot of people that love this new raw as evidence by ticket sales so that won't be anytime soon. Just focus on what you like and ignore what you don't. The same thing is happening in the HC scene. A lot of guys complain about how uptempo has taken over which is true but hey... that's whats selling and a lot of people wanna hear it.

I'll jump into the discussion. To be honest, it's true I was waiting much more for Team Yellow/Red than the other ones. And I'm saying that while I'm more into melodic stuff, it's what introduce me to the genre and made me love it.

BUT let's face it, raw is just insane live, it's meant to be play live imo. So now I'm enjoying more raw in events, I've evolved like hardstyle did. It doesn't make me a "rawsoldier", I like every subgenre, it's all hardstyle to me anyway, we just have different flavors now.
But I agree on the fact that raw has always the same structure... It's all about the drop with a heavy kick, but hey, that's what the crowd like so...

I don't really see the problem, the line up was well balanced I think, a 2h "xtra raw" set is fine to end the night, cause I wouldn't enjoy a full "xtra raw" event.

Same as euphoric sing a long stuff, sounds exactly the same... I guess it's more music taste than hate group of people from the beginning.

Well obviously Bas & Joram are more skilled in producing than Rebelion & D-Sturb, which is not taste but a fact!

No doubt about that, but you missed my point.
6 hours of euphoric music, which sound boring since most of it is the same. With the same structure & signature sounds, vocals, etc. So 6 hours of it, when 3 of it you are just standing and singing or whatever, because there are long breaks...
I don't like too much raw too, but if I would need to choose I would go listen to 6 hours of raw, than this singing with the trees atmosphere.
i see you with my x-ray
