Well. I have experience in everything mentioned by other people. I came straight from Madrid to Amsterdam, then a train to Arnhem and going straight to the party, and returned from the party to Schipol with no hotel of any kind. It is possible to be done of course, but you end up being super tired hahah. Anyway it is the cheapest way to do it. Last time, I booked a hotel in arnhem to spend the day before the party and enjoy the rest of the Sunday visiting Arnhem/Amsterdam and took the last fly of the day in Schipol, around 20:35 so it depends of what you want and the money you have available!! Anyway, u can enjoy the party regardless what you choose. This year I will be there again! I really advise you to take the accomodation by yourself because the hotels that Q-Dance provides are really overpriced. If you purchase the tickets and the hotel separetely you will save around 70 euros. I do this all years so I know what I am talking about. I advise you to get your accomodation ASAP because you will save even more money, and get the tickest once they go on sale. I always get them on the official Q-dance ticket page.
It is worth mentioning that yes, you are on risk on not having a VIP ticket, but I am pretty sure that you will get a regular ticket. Anyway, if the money is not a problem, buy the accomodation package and upgrade it to VIP when possible. This way you will save time of searching for good priced hotels and you will have a VIP for sure.
