their ribbon tweeters are pretty unique thats why this speakers maybe sound a bit different than others in the high freq area.
For some ppl maybe the low end isnt that enough because they got a 5" membrane for only about 54Hz, but i'm fine with that.
i heard the KRK Rokit got a bit more bass, but overall i like the ADAM more than the KRK.
maybe if you have enough money u could go with the ADAM F7 ..... 7" membrane....slightly better bass ... 44 Hz

greetings from Austria, Timo
thanks for the answer! I think 7' are too big. My head would be only around 60cm away from the speaker, I think this close 5' should have enough bass :D besides that, I dont have enough space for such big speakers (5' are already a bit problematic) :P. I have the Yamaha HS 5 for some time already in my head... but I propably should just go into a music store and see what fits best :D

no problem :) yeah they are too big for me aswell, cause i live here in a small university dorm room, so big speakers are not needed :D
Hmm i also heard just good things about yamaha speakers. We got some sick Neumann in our university studio but they are way too expensive for me :D

Hey, due to a broken shutter I have to sit for a couple of weeks in a dark studio. And I can only light the room with a regular light bulb, but that is straining my eyes, especially if I try to produce for 8+ hours straight. Does anyone here know where I can get lighting such as in this picture?

Or maybe someone has another suggestion for me. I feel like I'm slowly scarring my eyes.

@ IamShepherd You should check out aliexpress.com, I guess they ship worldwide and have a wide range of led strips which are pretty low in budget too... Plus, the quality is not bad as well. Otherwise I'd suggest you take a look at Ikea. That's where I got my leds, a bit more expensive but worth the price.

this looks kinda silly at the moment, I'm getting rid of the logitech z533 satellites, they're rubbish. I compared them to the old x-230 satellites and those are much better... btw very, very happy with the Adam A7X monitors - with these monitors you can so clearly hear the distinction between powerful and weak !

Fun thread to revive. Looking back to the setup I posted here a few years back, I'd say I've improved.
Completely in love with my Yamaha HS8 monitors. Also love the oxygen keyboard, though I don't use it as often as I'd like to.
(Also, my desk is a mess. I should really clean it, lol)
