The same thing you said was said back in 2009 when Nustyle was popular and EHS was the secondary hype, and it was wrong then. Now the secondary hype is Nustyle, because nostalgia is a factor in everything. Be it other genres of music, cars, aesthetics, and sometimes even lifestyles. I've never seen a Raw artist call their music not Hardstyle either, so either I'm misinformed or you're making things up.
Not like it matters though, it's obvious that you're more interested in the even moreso dying Trap memegenre, and you've made that clear a few times in the past. Keep saying Hardstyle will die, it's like saying Toyota will stop making its corolla. An artist or few artists switching genres isn't indicative of a genre dying, case in point Showtek and HHZ. AVB and W&W. Skream and Benga.

I don't agree Tritta, hardstyle is still rising in popularity as far as I know. It's still special in it's own way, so I don't see why it would fade away. Sure there are enough other things bigger (EDM, pop..etc) but it has become really big and won't stop growing for a while.

Hold on a second - any other genre of music has classics and hidden gems that get recycled. House, techno and drum & Bass DJ's often dig into their old crates and play stuff from 5/10/15 years ago to spice up a set with something different to the current selection.

A good DJ doesn't just play only new hit tunes, thats just not what DJ's do. They are entertainers curating a selection of music for people to dance to.

Sure it can be a bit disappointing for the super-fan thats listening to the live stream at home who knows every track, every edit inside out, but thats not who the artists are appealing to; their goal above all else is to get the people on the dance floor moving. Nostalgia is an excellent emotion to use to achieve that. That doesn't highlight a problem with the genre at all as people have emotions and memories associated with (older) music. If anything its a healthy thing because while some people will be hearing those old tunes for the umpteenth time, new people will be hearing those old tunes for the first time too and in the process guide the genre, and even give inspiration for new producers to reference older sounds.

Though perhaps I misunderstood this comment though and it was made sarcastically. Because its obvious that the genre is continuing to grow.

Back to the subject of the party, I think it was fun. Interesting to see what works and what doesn't work with the crowd cos I've been in EP/Album mode for most of the year. Q dance opting for a giant LED wall brings their visuals up to date with what the rest of the world is doing, but also in the process they lost some of the visual awe they used to have from their ridiculously huge stage props. A combination of both would be best moving forward, but probably very costly. The 'spine' that extended down the length of the Gelredome was super cool, loved how that went up and down and re-aligned.

Say what you will about the hey-hooo chants from the crowd, but I love it. Its fun to be united with thousands of people chanting along.

I did feel that a lot of the DJ's sets were a bit rushed, but that's gonna happen with all the b2b's. Personally, I enjoyed BH's and Zatox's sets. Say what you will about their music, it works and thats cool to see and hear. Seeing and hearing that huge crowd roar when they dropped a hit tune always brings a smile to my face. All in all, fun event to visit, definitely worth leaving my cage for and I'm looking forward to next year.

This Qlimax was pretty sick in terms of sets.
Sound was also better.

The warmup set was better than last year.
Was disappointed with Atmozfears. I wanted to give him "a chance" but it was boring, as expected. Worst set of the night (even comparing to other euphoric sets) it was plain boring.

Isaac was doing great.
Ran-D smashed it with Firestarter and the INSANE Voodoo people bootleg.

Hardcore wise Tha Playah gave exactly what i've expected.
Perfect balanced Hardcore. Loved it.

What a great Qlimax again ! I didn't expect anything from the NC & Wildy set but it turned out to be amazing with so many old tracks

And then enjoyed every set till the end, and that finish with Tha Playah my god !

Also met Radical Redemption in the crowd, always nice to see artists enjoying parties like a simple spectator

I don't understand why so many people say that his Qlimax wasn't that good. I was there and i loved every second of the night! IT was my favourite edition of Qlimax so far. Maybe the live feelings were stronger than just listening to it on the livestream, but really, I loved every set of the night, specially BM, BH and Frequencerz.
