@boyestar, what everyone else said.

@Statical, the kick is great, but I think you should adjust some of the notes in the kickroll you did at 0:25. I can't hear any other flaws.

I tried to make an oldish kick yesterday, and this is what I got:

Here's a raw track I made a while ago. Skip to 3:55 to hear the kick more clearly:

@Statical - The kickrolls are a bit too frequent for me, but the kick itself is great. Nothing to add.

@Typhonmusic - That old kick brings me back. On the raw kick, I'd like to hear the tail a bit more, I think there's too much focus on the punch. Still way better than my productions though, keep up the great work =) :D

Boyestar: Sounds like you're in the right path. Push the mids and distortion some more to get more crunch. Currently there's not enough going on in the mids and highs.

Statical: Fat tok, with a nice bass in the tail. Not sure what to add.

Hellraiser: It kind of sounds like you've ran the kick in Insanity through a tube distortion in the mix, giving it a weird cracky sound in the tail. The punch needs to breath a bit, too, it sounds too distorted currently, to the point where it doesn't sound punchy like a kick.

Does anyone know how to make kicks like these songs:

and

I'm especially interested in how they make the punch. I can't seem to get the resonant tone right....

@Phazon: Kick sounds awesome. Although, I didn't really like the melody.

And here's my latest kick:

@statical I like the kick. Would sound better if the tail was a little bit heavier(my opinion)
@xenahort Nice kicks man. However, when the kick pitches low it gets weird.

Need feedback on my kick pls

@kegadoru: Love the way the bass vibrates, so awesome! :fist: _O_ but I didn't like the punch that much(its to clean for my taste).
P.S.: would appreciate feedback on my kick as well :p

kegadoru - That's nice. I'd make the tail a little longer, especially the bass part. Sounds like a really great tok and crunch with not much body.
dawd1999 - Needs more processing I think. It has nice character but sounds incomplete. The tok doesn't stand out very much either btw.

Here is my attempt at a raw kick:
