Your social unwritten rule (of the day)

I`m at it again.

Got some unwritten social rule(s) that annoy you when people ignore/ dont follow them ?


Its enough to write one rule,but you can post more if your want.

My two random social rules of the day

1: Dont read the weather news out loud if i didnt ask for it (i got a window and my own internet connection and also a paper.)

2: If i sit somewhere and listen to music with headphones,dont start talking and expect an answer.

Not sure if the ones i mentioned are "rules" or just me being grumpy, but if it bothers me then it counts

I've got a big one;

Trying to provoke me for a response in the way people would expect me to. Unfortunately I respond the other way around, a fuck-in-your-face way, or in other words: exactly how the other person doesn't want it to happen. This includes: not being afraid of shame, trying to establish a well-meant conversation, not replying at all (especially effective for trolls), staying true to myself. Also responding neutral to sarcastic dicks helps.

I'm gonna love this topic.

two other ones of mine are:
- Mistakes are stepping stones for the greater cause. Don't stay stuck somewhere because you havent reached your goal yet. Learn and accept this is just what doesn't work
- Responsibility doesn't wear you down if you look it into it's eyes. It's not a heavy task you've been given, it's something you should and can do without resistance.

I wish this was an official rule or something.. When ever I'm at home listening to music, my dad, without getting my attention in anyway, will start to talk to me for up to 5 minutes sometimes, and then just stares at me for a response. He eventually gets angry at me because I didn't hear what he said.

My wife does this. I'll tell her I'm going to listen to something in my headphones then later she'll tell me how mad she is that I didn't hear her yelling at me from another room

- When i have a lunchbreak at work with other people,then somone starts to read out loud what they read in the paper. I mean like "why!!!!"

And yes the newspapers at work is free and everybody reads them, but why read loudly (I guess some people cant handle silence

- if you own an 60kg heavy ugly dog. and it runs into me and starts jumping all over me. and if it stinks and starts licking me. AND IF YOU FUCKING TELL ME IT JUST WANTS TO PLAY DONT BE AFRAID. I will set everything you have ever loved, including that dog, on fire. Why the fuck is this socially tolerated as a normal thing?

- If you are invited to a booze related party - bring at least some of your booze to contribute to that evening's booze stash. Or something to eat if not booze. Or some weed. Don't come bare handed and try to act it out. Hapens way more than im able to comprehend...

- if i borrow you a book, a cd or a vinyl. 1. return it without me having to ask for it, 2. dont scratch it/tear it/ break it, treat it with respect.

- if you are at my place / in my car, tolerate the music that's playing. I dont care you dont like it, im not putting your shitty music on.
