Can't believe there isn't a thread on this already.
I don't know how many of you Europeans know about cricket but the Aussies certainly will know about this.
Aussie batsman Phil Hughes dies this morning 2 days after a freak accident being hit on the neck by a cricket ball. The doctor said that only 100 incidents have EVER been reported of this injury and only 1 EVER from a cricket ball.
It's so sad. The guy was a real cricketing talent. Australia has lost a complete legend and it will take the world of cricket, in particular Australia, a long time to get over this. Such a shock.
Spare a thought for Sean Abbott as well. He bowled the fatal ball and was just doing his job. Never in a million year would he have thought this would be the outcome. I hope he gets all the help and support he needs.
