the reason why I wouldn't use it for making a track is because it only supports 1GB of ram, and one core of the processor. I am just using it for some sound design cause it enables me to use the logic synths and effects.
The 5.3 version worked just fine on my copy of Win7 (which is 64 bit), no magic cracks or anything included.

Many artists still use this version of Emagic Logic, Benga for one :)
