Writing lyrics

Hi y'all

So I decided to put some vocals into my next track.
But how do I write lyrics? What are the things I should pay attention to?
And what should I keep in mind when I hire a vocalist?

If you have an idea of the message you want to submit you´ll be able to write lyrics..listen to some other hardstyle tracks and see what they are saying, maybe you get inspiration..but nobody can teach you on how to become an author..it is creativity.

Try things like what are meaningful to you. What feelings does the music you are making bring you. Dont make it to hard on yourself, the less you do, the more you do.

When I write lyrics I first choose a punchy main lyric to build on. Then I think, what do I want the song to say. For example; My headline is : Im going up in flames. how did it start, where does it end. I tell how the music is going to light me on fire and how it affects me as an listener.

Also listen to a lot of vocals from different hardstyle tracks. It helps a lot. The main genre of lyrics is about how the bass is hard and the kick. But there is hardstyle about anything.

As a laic in this thing, but just a simple listener, I advice you to avoid clichés, if you really want to make lyrics to your tracks. Strive for something unique, not that is made before (latter is pretty common at the majority of HS tracks today)
