Yeah I get how you used it for Dubstep.
I can't open up soundcloud links since we have IE 8 here at work but check out
"Astroshade - Back from the dead" on soundcloud and u'll see that I used it in my mid-intro.
(Crappy song quality/mix)

Try to get it more stereo and work on some EQ. Also put some reverb and deelay to make it even more full!Eodos wrote:Any of you guys could help me out here? I posted this on the preview/snippet thread a couple of days ago. It's just that you cant really get any constructive feedback there.
It sounds to my ear that the stereo image is fucked up, and something on EQ aswell, but i cant make it any better. any tips?

Thx ljk32, really helped me alot, found out i had the song permanently living in the negative side of lifeljk32 wrote:The stereo image is indeed retarded, what did you do to the signal? The lead is also lacking low end, making it sound thin and weak. If you don't have a spectrum analyser (such as SPAN, or any other one that has a phase meter) I'd highly recommend getting one and always keeping it on your master channel. When analysing some of the tracks you like, you'll notice that the phase meter generally stays at the 0 mark and above. There will be times where it moves into the negative, but as long it doesn't stay there too long, it's fine. From what I remember, your lead sat constantly in anti-phase, and that's where it becomes an issue. In the future when making leads, I'd take a look at that from time to time just to make sure you're on the right track.
