Re: [27/06/2014] Defqon.1 Festival [NL]

I didn't enjoy myself so much because of the music at defqon, but because of the awesome friends I went with. We rented one of the worst trailers ever at a camping site nearby, but boy what an awesome time we had there.

Friday we arrived at the Gathering around 11pm so we caught Ran-D's and WMF's set. Das Weite Land fucking killed it, but the rest was just okay-ish, standard stuff, although WMF was kind of cool. Sound was too low for my likings as well.

Back at the camping we drank like hell again.

The next day we arrived around 4pm at Black after loads of beer at the camp site already. I don't remember who was playing anymore at Black between 4 and 5 but it was alright. Then we went to B-Front at Blue; same okay-ish, standard stuff as Ran-D so we left after half an hour.
Then, accidentally but LUCKILY I found the Indigo stage because I was struggling to find a bar and ended up right next to that stage. I got my friends and we caught most of Delete's and Deetox's set and damnit, finally some good, crazy, wicked hardstyle shit. I've said it before and I will say it many times after, I can't stand listening to this type of hardstyle at home but at a party with a good soundsystem it fucking rocks. During Dark Pact we left again.
We ended the day at Black with Partyraiser. Not my type of music, but I was fucking wasted by this time so I didn't care too much.

Back at the camping we drank even more.

The next day we arrived at 6pm, right before the NL - Mexico match. Holy crap, seriously the best experience of the whole Defqon weekend. What an atmosphere and craziness during those two NL goals. _O_ Then we went to RED for the closing ceremony and that was such a let-down. Sound was way way way TOO FUCKING LOW and then we even stood in the middle. Q-Dance, what were you thinking :? :? Brennan Heart was extremely boring and I didn't catch too much of Frontliner's set but seeing the tracklist doesn't get me excited anyway. Then, luckily they pumped up the volume during Ran-D and B-Front who were alright. The end show was a let-down though.

Back at the camping we drank more beer again.

All in all, music-wise this wasn't the best Defqon for me, but the whole experience, having so many laughs with my friends and the soccer match make we wanna go again next year :)

HOWEVER, there was some highlights indeed like:

Sunday:
Neilio playing some expected cheese, ok set nothing special. Energyzed and Shockerz, the thin guy from Energyzed looked nervous/tripped as fuck xD
Sorry for the question, some ID tracks in that set? :p

Edit: I think actually Neilio had ONE new track, but not sure it was with that god damn pop-rebel guy xD

I had a great time :) Way to lazy to write a whole report :p But it was fun seeing a lot of people I know (and didn't know yet) there :D (you know who you are haha, worried I'll forget someone if I make a list xD).

Also, amazing sets! :) Every Theracords dj I saw, especially Dj Thera himself, Krauser, Deluge Of Sound, Da Tweekaz, Meagashira _O_

And lol @ 3 man HST meeting on Saturday :p

Don't have the TL but I remember:

Frozen Tool
You & I Remix
Break The Spell (Eye Of The Flashback Edit)
Bad Habit (Edit?)
Let Go/Letting Go? (New Track)
Weapons Of Love
I Need Your Love Bootleg
Cheese Police (Only the intro, probably part of a mashup/edit)
#Tweekay14
Zero Fucks Given
Music Is My Drug

Edit: They played their remix of Pegboard Nerds - Hero too :)
Edit2: Your Love too I think, and Bassface?
