Where do you like to start your track?
I just think it would be fun to discuss where people like to start their tracks.
Bassline? Chord progression? The lead melody? Percussion? etc...
I have a ton of projects saved of just melodies/chord progressions. I would have to say that is where I like to start. Although I think at the end of the day it is whatever you are feeling at the moment. Could be any part. What about you guys?

Oh yeah definitely the melody. In case I finish a project I actually almost always start with it, then break -> drops -> Outro -> mixing Intro -> Midintro, and then I try to fuse it all together
kinda my procedure I'm used to... works best for me

I make the kick and after that the mid-intro. After that everything comes together

First Vocals, then melody that fits to the athmosphere of the Vocals. Then I make a chord and usually experiment with Synth/Screech/Hardnoize/Vocal chopping for the Intro/Midintro.
Music needs Character.

I like to start with a melody. If I knew where to find vocals I'd probably do that first

Yes everything is built around the melody. And that's your opinion, nothing wrong with that, but I don't think my melodies are terrible. Melody first, everything else afterMistral wrote:Seriously? Off all the stuff I've heard from you, I haven't witnessed anything that is "melodic" yet.GamerZoneUSA wrote:I like to start with a melody. If I knew where to find vocals I'd probably do that first
