Lead in (Soundstorm, Forever, Melody man...)

So the topic is the lead we all know from Joram in his Timeless EP mainly. I absolute want to make my own version of it, but there is no tutorial about it. Do you guys know the steps to follow? I have been trying something similar:

I did it just with sylenth and eq, no other vst´s. Of course its far away from the original one :p
I began with this tutorial from a guy who´s great on leads (check lessons in love and gimme love in his videos)

Any recommendation? You think Im doing it correctly? Thanks

If i remember correctly Frontliner said he used Fabfilter volcano & Sylenth1 for that synth. That was in the live streams he did before. But I don't remember which one. (6)
