Anyone still listen to hard techno? Didnt want to start a new topic so thought I'd say here.

I haven't listened hardtechno/schranz in years. Liked it at first, when it was still hard rolling techno! Good fed up and tired of it when Eastern Europeans turned into some hardcore-uesqe rip off.

Still have a shitload of schranz-vinyls though!

I don't have anything against the hardcore influence seeing that I like both, and love the combo of those two genres, it's just that the whole genre have very few quality names being capable of bringing something fresh and a lot of the names I liked have switched style (Robert Natus and Sven Wittekind, I'm looking at you!) so I end up with shockingly few people I still like (Waldhaus, Weichentechnikk, Boris S and possible Jan Fleck but I haven't heard much from him lately...).
That said, I haven't checked out any new tracks in a while though.

Is Hardtechno still a big thing? Havent' followed the scene for a couple of years now but for me it seems to die out.. Some big names completey switched styles (Felix Kröcher, Robert Natus, Sven Wittekind fe) and other big names who produced Hardtechno on a very high level (Waldhaus, Weichentechnikk, Boris S fe) rarely releasing something nowadays as it seems. Not many quality producers are left i fear
