Virus TI, worth buying?

Post by Double Phunq »

I've been hearing loads of great stuff about the Virus TI over the years, and I'm considering buying it. Now, I've got Sylenth 1, FM8, Massive, Nexus and many more vst's from before, which is just software.

My question: When having learned the basics of how to create (for example) good leads with the Virus TI, will they be "outstanding", as in "you could never make those sounds in any others vst"? I'm just wondering if it's worth buying, and if it will be a huge advantage in my productions.

Hope I made myself clear :p

There are tons and tons of post related to this and all the advice i can personally give you is consider these few quesitons...

how much will you be using it? will you make your moneys worth...?

do you feel like your production level is up there for some powerful hardware and you are ready to take it to another level?

it definitely is a powerful machine but keep in mind there is a limit to how many channels you can run it on im ont sure on the number maybe someone else can verify this but if you exceed the limit you will find yourself having the sample out everything

Additionally, you can try not being a noob and actually use the search bar - it really isn't difficult to use. On topic though, based on the questions you've asked, it would be bad idea for you to buy a Virus.

I kinda agree with Lucas but go and try one out yourself somewhere and you'll get the answer.

Troll alert ^

On topic: I think I'm gonna do some more research, and eventually try one before deciding on buying it or not. Thanks for your replies :)

The same topic again. oh well why not.
Owning a virus ti will not improve much if u suck at programming in general.
about outstanding sounds , if u cant Create outstanding sounds without the virus than dont even consider buying one. (with Massive and Fm8 u can already achieve really awesome things.)
i stick to the Thing the Machine said : The virus ti is just a Softsynth in a Box.
I own a virus ti 2 btw.

also this Topic should be moved to Software/Hardware.
would be common sense to post this in the Hardware section.

Imagine building a guitar and then tuning it and then playing it. That's what electronic music is.

Is it worth buying a 2000 euro guitar?
Or a 2000 euro condensator microphone?

Or would you rather just use the midrange alternative that works nearly just as well?

Just buy it. You won't regret trust me. Unless they suddenly come up with a TI3 and the price of the older TIs start dropping.
