Now every little fucker use this kick and call him "producer"
No way.. No way... how bad !
and you think the scene allows it? you're quite paradoxal there if that's the case, supporting an 'easy accessible genre' ;)

personally I honestly don't give a shit if producers give out their kicks, but the point frontliner states is something I do agree on.
Mainly that hardstyle should lay down the mentality that the kicks makes everything.
of course, hardstyle's main element is the kick, but I think he means it that not everything should revolve about.
there is so much more, and I think it can be taken as a good wakeup call.

Completely agree with this.

btw i'd like to add that giving out kicks still doesn't help anyone at all because if producers don't know how to use kicks to enhance their own, they still won't benefit from it.
basicly producers will stay on the same level, and the ones that do use this... well only their arrogance will rise up a few levels
editting skills make the difference from making your own kicks and using pre-made ones. and also your profession as an artist/producer

-edit-
I think frontliner knows that too, given his tutorial :p

sorry but if you can't do that you've got no chance anyways lol.
i wouldn't worry too much tbh, as i said, there's more to hs than just a kick.
also: barry's music is amazeballs, but his kicks are not my kinda cup of tea anyways, so :dunno:

kicks are important but overrated.
if you look back just a few years back and listen to the kicks, nobody would produce something like this now.
so why bother.
it's a nice present and a very very liberating gesture for the scene imo.

That amazing feeling when you like your own kick slightly better than the Frontliner free release kick

True, but that was a few years back..
Nowadays people do bother that much on the kick element.

I think its bullsh*t Barry gave the kick away cause all of the lazy wannabe producers who are always asking others for kicks and project files and sh*t are going to act like they are the best now and made it themself, even when given the fact that you can hear if its his kick or not.
Why not give them a bunch of great lead sounds and hard sounds and what not while he's at it..

Many ppl like myself on this forum and other producers spend days and nights probably figuring out how to get a nice decent kick, wich to me seperated the the willing from the lazy.

I agree that it shouldn't be given away, but on the other hand, it takes so MUCH more to make a good track.
I bet 95% of the people who receive and actually use this kick, can't create a good track with it.
I don't see lots of problems as its easy to identify too.

Haha sign  although:
lacks a bit punch and power if solo'ed but I gotta admit that I barely heard such a good tail in detail
It is indeed a very good kick but not really "raw" what I'd prefer. Thank god I got my very own one which I am very pleased with so why even bother actually
But still, I think barrys move was quite useless. Because all the hype this caused, no beginner will have the balls to seriously use this kick because they'll think they gonna be flamed for using it. While at first everyone, including me, thought, quite everyone will use this and was not happy with barrys decision xD
Either way, in barrys position I wouldn't have uploaded it.

funny that you say that, cause, no matter how awesome a given away kick sounds like.. i like my own kicks the best! they may be not be the best, but they certainly hold my soul instead then someone else's!
