Why was 2006 such a good year for hardstyle

Compare the last 5 Saifam releases from today with 5 from 2006... How can you say that is more diverse?

The current SAIFAM style is quite bland but if you compare spoontech to scantraxx to dwx to theracords I would certainly call it alot more diverse than the listed tracks here.

(I'm not trying to be disrespectful, I would just love to understand what you find so diverse about these tracks. I do like alot of the melodies in them, I just dont see how theyre that different apart from that)

All were afaik made in 2004, but it will give you a good hint of what kind of diversity you had in the earlier days.

I'm 50/50 with Neutronic here. All those tracks can be mixed together in a set (except System Addict) and still flow really well. These days you can't really mix scantraxx-tracks with theracords-tracks and then back to scantraxx again. So in that respect there's more diversity these days when it comes to different styles within the hardstyle spectrum. However, if you look at mainstream tracks or raw tracks only there's little to no diversity and then the 2006 era stands out

I can get behind that, Vero. Within "communities of artists" there is a lack of diversity if you discount the few exceptions like Geck-o and Audiofreq

I would like any that you have. I love live sets, it's the only way i listen to music. Only problem is, 95% of them suck nowadays.

Prophet @ SB has volume problems at certain moments, Dana @ Qlimax has stereo channel problems about halfway through, Showtek @ Qlimax has some silence at one point, Catscan @ SB is missing the very end, Technoboy @ SB has a lot of problems nearing the end, and Zany @ Qlimax Belgie is shit quality.

I will take them all. I have heard the 2006 set of showtek so i know the silence part during cocaine MF, luckily i have showtek - live at hardstyle syndrome and it has cocaine MF as opening track so i can just splice in the needed bit. Also, anyone want that mix?
