I'd absolutely appreciate, if someone throws me a few tasty links (L) _O_
I have DJ Activator's 2005 Qlubtempo set & his 2 hour 2007 Q-Base set if that's any use to you? Some of my favourite all time sets... Ask DJ practice ;)

Thanks guys, but I think those Hardhouse Generation sets are the ones I'm looking for, but it's a pity I can't download them anywhere, cause judging by the tracklists, they look pretty neat. Let me PM, if anyone has them :)

2009 was a great year but nothing compared to 2010. frontliner made lots of great tracks this year. best thing was when i came home from school (first day i think) and scantraxx uploaded 4 previews the same day, 2 from the prophet and 2 from krusaders. all four tracks are bombs and i still listen to them 3 and a half years later :)
overall scantraxx was at it's best this year, only thing that sucked is that 2009 had much harder kicks, they became a bit weaker in 2010 (though frontliner kept it quite hard, on the rise or symphonic noise is two great examples). tbh i didn't really listen to any other hardstyle besides scantraxx releases at this time because they released tracks often and they are awesome tracks.

but to the topic, i have no idea, i don't know many hardstyle tracks during 2006-2008 era, besides some headhunterz tracks.

So from what I can tell on peoples explanations it's based on the success of the different tracks that was released during that period + the development of Nu-style. My question is, when could we see that happening again? - What I've seen is that 2010, 2013, and surprisingly enough 2014 looks like it will be the same again, because of the success + diversity + development in styles again. Didn't RAWstyle really become a style(name) of it's own after Zatox produced Rawstyle, together with Nikkita?

What you're asking can't really be answered. Music is always evolving, and in the case of hardstyle... it's been one hell of a ride. Even now the style is experimenting and changing. look at subground for example, or newer hybrid genres poppin up everywhere.

about rawstyle... at first the genre was getting harder but it didnt have a name. people tried to tag it all under nu-style, or stupid names like core-style or w/e... but after the Rawstyle release (which isnt really rawstyle at all...) people just took it over and yea.. the scene accepted it - to a degree: rawstyle or raw hardstyle?

The current SAIFAM style is quite bland but if you compare spoontech to scantraxx to dwx to theracords I would certainly call it alot more diverse than the listed tracks here.

(I'm not trying to be disrespectful, I would just love to understand what you find so diverse about these tracks. I do like alot of the melodies in them, I just dont see how theyre that different apart from that)
2 raw labels and 2 mainstream labels is not what I consider as diverse but to each his own. You have stated in many discussions about older stuff that you can't stand it and that you can't understand how anyone likes it. We get the point mate.

Well you've all convinced me, 06 is my favourite year now too :D will definitely look through those hardhouse generation sets
Always considered myself an early fan cos I'm not overly enthusiastic about post-2011 hardstyle, but it's probably more accurate than I'm a fan of this period of nustyle with the great melodies
Dark Oscillators too <3 stereophobia!

Compare:
Ultrasonic - Bass Mtfk (Remix)
Thilo & Evanti - System Addict
Dj Zany - Houze Musik
Ricky T - Generation T (Hardstyle Mix)

All were afaik made in 2004, but it will give you a good hint of what kind of diversity you had in the earlier days.

I agree on your point of view here.

I guess that's subjective. Like you wrote earlier, the style is evolving and even back then, what he called "raw style" was the track he made, with Nikkita. Just look at rawstyle now. It has evolved into a much more hardcore-influenced style after they implemented the hc'ish kick in a hardstyle structured track.
