Using speaking lines of movies in tracks

First of all: Sorry if there might be already a topic about my question!

So, there are many speaking lines of movies used in tracks which I directly recognized. The youngest example I can give is some Paul Elstak tune where Kill Bill is used.

Is it just allowed to use these spoken words and publish them officialy on label? I bet there are not many established producers out there who paid for this.

There are many great things you can easily use in tracks, so the question is can I do it without needing the permission to use them?

This stucks in my head for about weeks now.

I've heard that some labels won't accept that kinda tracks because they could risk copyright charges. Obviously I don't represent any labels but that's what I've heard.

Its funny, i suppose 1/2 of the released tracks atm have some of these samples ripped from movies. I.e. E-Force - Masterclass:

Well, I just talked to Boozed Panderz now (also from Germany)...he said that it is not allowed, but it is different from country to country...I think that is a checkmate for me.

I can give you the advice that you can use Audiobooks from a public domain source. There should be no problems if you use them.

In the hardcore scene there are so many tracks that use vocals ript from movies,series,docu's,etc.
I've read that you can sample 10sec out of everything without being charged for copyright.

This is true, only thing is, is that it's 7 seconds instead of 10 afaik..

Is it only in the NL oder in the entire EU?

The 10sec, 5sec sample theory is not exempt from copyright

To legally use a film sample you need clearance from the studios, publishers, producers writers actors and so on...

It's better to re-record it yourself, or use royalty free samples, it's more original and no infringements.

We dont accept any tracks with copyrighted samples and a lot of others are the same, other labels do though but that's up to them to take the risk!

Pretty much anything public domain is usable, what really matters is the copyright laws of your country and the country it was produced from. But it all depends. That's all I can say.
